    Hi,

Does anyone have an invitation I could have? Seem to have been waiting a while now for them to invite me.

    Thanks,
    Laloola

Read the post before yours. They don't do invites.

Did not realise there was a thread for Shop and Scan. Having been through lots of posts I see that I am doing most things that others are doing.

On screen wise we have just had an engineer out because they can pick up that we are watching TV but not what we are watching. Most things we watch are not live and we always fast forward the adverts.

I have just checked my order history and in 6 years we have had £3800 worth of vouchers. We do have 3 of us doing FOTG so that helps.

Most of our vouchers are for curry's or Argos. Have not paid for an electrical appliance for 5 years.

I've just had my equipment delivered for a self set up and have got a few questions which I hope someone can answer - I was going to email screenwise but thought I'd probably get a quicker answer here :):

    1) The router (very nice!) is all plugged in & working. However, I thought the original info said that I would have to 'let it know who I was' when I connected to it. Is there some software I need to install?

    2) The cabled spring clip 'thingy' for the tv box - what is this supposed to clip onto?

    3) I'm assuming that the microphones need to be stuck by the speakers - is this correct or can they just be in the general area?

    4) The TV box doesn't seem to do anything - it flashes on for a few seconds when I plug it in but then nothing when I click in any of the remote buttons (I've confirmed that the remote is working by looking at it using my digital camera). Should more happen or is it waiting for something?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

1, when you connect to your wifi using your new router, it will bring up its own web page asking you to log in, to start with, it will only have the option for multiple users and you will be required to log in every day.

once they set your account up, each of your names will appear, you then chose one user and your own name, and it will keep you logged in for the week.

2, The cable clip attatches to your TV's power cable, it registers when the tv is on or off, when it is off, you will not be able to select a user / picture, but when it is on it will constantly flash to let you know it wants your input.

3, Stick the mic's as close to the speakers as posible, but so it is unobtrusive to you.

4, As question 2, untill the spring clip is installed it will not function as needed.

With Screenwise are they quite happy to allow you to set it all up yourself? I've been offered an installation date a couple of days before our baby's due which isn't ideal. Do you just ring and ask to self install?

I emailed them as soon as I'd signed up to Screenwise asking if I could set it all up myself.

Just bear in mind that they don't send any instructions (hence my queries yesterday).

Also, they will need you to let them know the serial numbers for the router & all of the tv boxes - I only found this out as I had to email them as my wife had forgotten what 'picture' she was.

Hopefully someone can answer this really simple question!

I've just had Screenwise installed by an engineer, but once the network was installed, he switched my internet network back to BT rather than using the panellist-SSID network. Looking at the user guide online, I think I should be connected using panellist-SSID rather than the BT network, but when I asked him, he said I should continue to connect through my internet provider, and that the web meter just piggy backs onto this to get its information?

If I connect using my BT router, I can't access the sign in page for Screenwise so how do they know whether it is me or my partner that is browsing, or have I completely misunderstood what this panel is about?

So, basically, what I want to know is whether I should be connecting to the internet using BT or panellist-SSID network.

    Thanks!
