Zippy...no you can't....you can get a prescription but it works out the same price my friend said...when you go to the DRS they send you to the hospital in manchester where they want you to go every week to pick it up....my friend is under the hospital but gets it from a pharmacy in kirkham as she has her own business and can't take the time to travel to manchester every week...this is why I know it's exactly the same stuff the hospitals give

    Thanks

No I couldn't mess about doing that either. I found a chemist not too far away so thanks for the link :T

Think it depends now on the health questionaire if they will let me do it as I am just going to start tests as it looks like I have a thyroid problem. So fingers crossed.

What flavour is best BTW

Hi everyone.....well went to the Drs this morning where I had to get a MED 4...mentioned my hip was really sore and the bottom of my back and she said it was sciatica....probably brought on by inactivity and it wouldn't hurt to lose some weight.I asked her about the lipotrim diet..she said she'd heard of it but didn't know a lot about it but because the hospitals do it ..it shouldn't be a problem.
I went to my weigh in this morning and have lost 7lbs this week so that's good.I feel really well except my hip at the moment so will see how I go with it.
My DH is saving up and then taking me out to a casino and for a meal...he's paying for it...when I get to goal.So that's something to look forward to.

Not sure hun, I don't know if the chemist is near enough that I could go every week to be weighed. I'm a bit concerned about putting the weight back on too, I have yo yoed so many times, I wonder what happens when you have to eat again, but on the other hand I can see that taking food out of the equation for a few months is helpful. There is no doubt it works from what I have read on the internet so i'm very tempted. There is a thread I found that someone had lost 10 stone. :T

I also found a post on a slimming thread that someone had lost 8 stone on the GI diet so think I might get the book out of the library and then decide. Do keep posting how you are doing, its so inspiring. :T

Can I ask if you have been hungary?
