WOW...thanks for all the replies that's cheered me up.....it is exactly the same as lighter life and has all the nutrients and vitamins the body needs...my friend who is also on it was very big and going to go for a gastric bypass..when she attended the hospital..they put her on this ...we go to the same chemist to get it...she's lost 10 stone in 20 weeks...she is so well it's unbelievable...you can do it through doctors and hospitals as well...you have to do a questionairre and if they don't think you are suitable they refer you back to the doctor...my friend still has 9 stone to go...and they take blood tests and water samples...I'm on Drs thusrday morning anyway but am sure she will be ok about it...
I'm going to just pay Barclays with the payment slip on the bottom of the bill...stuff the DD...if I'd known they were going to do that I'd have paid the £108 on top...

Hi taxi - sorry not to have been about for ages, but I've been really busy. Just been chatting to a chum which reminded me to have a quick gander on here!

I share LA's concern about the shakes as not a great diet. However, you're right that docs do recommend this kind of regime for rapid weight loss, and if your friend is happy on it and you feel happy doing it, then go ahead. But please mention it to your doc? Maybe two shakes and one decent meal a day would be a good alternative?

Also - how are you recovering after the op? Maybe a bit of exercise once you can manage it would help. It will certainly help with the weight loss and will lift your mood too. I'd put a bit of weight on over recent months (loads of hassle, not enough gym) but I've just started dance classes again and I've lost 12lbs in the last month. Thirty minutes of walking a day (you can split it into two 15 minute sessions) is a good start.

    Good luck!
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

Hi Minnie...how nice to hear from you....how are you?...I'm not doing too bad after my op....I'm getting a lot of pain in my hip that's another reason to get the weight off quite quickly....I walk about an hour a day ...slowly as I can't move that much faster....well done on your weight loss....I've wanted to get back to the gym for weeks but am aching...not sure if I pulled a muscle the other week when looking after my grandson...hope everything is well for you at the moment and that you are well....take care xx

Taxi I just wanted to say thanks for posting about the lipotrim, I have a similar amount to lose. I just looked it up on dooyoo and it has really good reviews. I have always stayed away from the milkshake type diets, fearing hunger or boredom I suppose, but i'm too the point where i'll try anything TBH.

Please can you tell me where I can find out about local stockists?

    Good luck with it

Taxi - what about swimming? It'll take the weight off your joints. Does your gym have a pool?
