I'm not too worried at the moment as it's still on 0% for a couple of months and I am guaranteed a 5.94% LOB deal on another empty card or 2.9% for 6 months...so I won't end up paying full interest anyway...my reckoning was that in 14 months I would be able to pay it in full...so is worth a try!!!
I've had to take a longer term view with being off work ..and...hopefully nothing will go wrong...that what I thought was throw everything at Halifax..hopefully...clearing it in 2 months after tommorrows payment...then....pay what I was paying Halifax to MBNA or more if possible(not likely)....cos at the same time I'm trying to get the OD down....but I will have to pay for the sofa on my OD as the 0% runs out soon and I would have to pay £103 p/m for 3/4 years can't remember which but it's about 30% interest
Do you think this is the right way to do it?

    Sounds right to me.

But if you want more people to throw ideas into the mix, you could do another thread for a specific question on this...?

Hi everyone...I don't believe that I have just typed my post but it just dis-appeared on me!!!
I hope you are all enjoying this lovely sun!!! Well I am very confident in my 101 day challenge so far...one of my aims is to get rid of my halifax CC balance...I have paid off £192.31 today ...consisting of £32.31 DD and £160 laying around the house bringing my total down to £1123.79...I will also be paying off this week £140 and £166.52.....so am really pleased with this ...I am awaiting DH getting up to go to the bank to get his £140 but due to him being on an all night last night...it will probably be tommorrow that he goes as he didn't go to bed until 9am this morning and the other money is my IB which should be in my bank tommorrow or the day after ...really chuffed as was aiming to pay off £315.70 to be at £1000!!!!
A lovely thing happened at the PO this morning....I needed only 1 stamp and there was a long queue...I asked a lady at the front if she could get me one...she got one out of her purse and wouldn't let me pay...how nice is that!!!!!....what a lovely lady!!!

I have applied for a barclaycard too today, inspired by you. I know it will get rejected but as all my accounts are barclays ones I figured I may have a bit more chance of getting one!!!

We shall see, but I don't hold out much hope.

Hi Hypno...good luck with the Barclaycard...let us know if you get it....it may get passed for you as you are a customer of theirs....I think the only reason they would reject me is cos I've loads of CCs open with nil balances...if they do I'll have to close some down...will see what happens but would make life easier if I do get it as I think with careful planning I couyld pay that MBNA off in that time...here's hoping

Just popped in...don't know why really as not a lot to report(my life is so boring at the moment)...I must have learnt something from being on here as not so long ago me having to have this amount of time off work and this amount of boredom would have meant a couple of grand on my CCs....
How stupid am I?...better not answer that...I found £38 spare arond the hose this morning and thought I would pay it off the halifax CC...so off I went to the bank..got out the taxi money to pay in..paid it ..then...spent 10 mins looking through my bag only to find I'd left it at home so will pay it in tommorrow...hope OH gets me some more £2 coins to add to the total...LOL
