Hello taxi. I'm relieved to see that your incapacity benefit will be with you soon and good for you being able to pay more off the CCs with it. I'm so glad your hubby is doing well with the new taxi firm, what a relief eh?

Airtours - oh dear. As hypno says, keep hassling them and as soon as you mention the words "court" or "ABTA" they may get their finger out. (Or have you mentioned them already?)

I'm sure the trip to the Thai restaurant was a real lift for you? Very nice. Your hubby just sounds sooooo lovely & sweet! I've said this before I know!

Anyway keep on looking after yourself and we can forgive you a few magazines I am sure! Cheaper than internet shopping whilst bored anyway! :D

Catch you soon - take care.

    Hi LA....
I'm so glad we changed firms we would be bankrupt now if we stayed on the other one....Airtours I have mentioned both of the above to them but to no avail at the moment...but I will be stepping it up....
Now theres an idea ...internet shopping...lovely...only kidding....I was happy to update my sig today my overdraft has come down by £245...probably only temporary though...it's up and down like a yoyo...maybe I should pick one day in the month and stick to that then I will see if I am making any headway...I will pick the 25th for update...sorted...

    Hi everyone:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello:
I'm feeling quite positive today:D :D:D Firstly I have 2 CCs with Halifax one of them being empty...so..I thought that I would phone them to cancel the one I am not using ...they offered me 2.95%on a BT for 6 months or5.94% on LBT ....not brilliant but when my MBNA 0% runs out in sept would be handy if I can't find another 0% BT deal to transfer to and they said I can use this rate later as well...so have hung fire for now...no harm waiting is there?
Secondly after another stupid phonecall to Airtours (getting me nowhere as usual)...I said that I would go to Abta or court as we are getting nowhere...she said tha'ts your choice....so I've rung them and have to send copies of everything to them for them to try and resolve it....that was the stupidest thing she could say to somebody with 6 months off work hence lots of time on their hands!!!
So I haven't exactly been successful but feel I've been productive and that I'm getting the ball rolling...it'll take a few days to sort the paperwork out as I can't bend easily at the moment but my OH can get it out for me...so I feel a bit better knowing these people are going to have to sort it!!!
Nothing moneysaving achieved as such but I feel a little better for that...;) ;);)
I've read loads of bits on this board the last few days and it's certainly eye-opening!!!

    HI everyone:hello: :hello: :hello:
Hope everyone is well.:p :p:p Well I heard from incapacity benefit today and they are putting £166.52 in my account in the next few days followed by £122.70 per fortnight after this so I will be throwing this at the Halifax CC as well as other bits and pieces....hopefully will be able to clear this balance in the next couple of months...
Also my job over the week-end is to try and get all the paper work together to send to Abta:eek:   Hopefully we can get the issues resolved then...
Had a walk to the papershop today and it felt a little easier...so...I must be getting better!!!
I'm going to pay a chunk off the credit card next week so am looking forward to the balance going under £1000...
So things are ticking away at the moment and I'm quite happy as we have had a lot of things happen since Christmas!!!...so I feel quite proud at the moment

All looks pretty good from where I am sitting (in my kitchen with a pan of rice pudding on the hob...)

At least now you know when the money is going in you can plan a bit more. And I agree with the Abta claim - what better way of keeping you busy over the next few days/weeks/months (delete as appropriate)!

My thoughts exactly Hypno!!!...it's the bending to get to the photocopier and printer that's causing the delay....but will try to do a bit at a time...don't want to do myself a damage...lol

Hi everyone what a lovely day today...I'm pleased with myself as I sent my complaint to Abta today...so will have to see what comes of that!!
I'm also thankful that I didn't do a serious injury to myself as my computer chair collapsed with me on it last night...I managed to hold on to my stomach as it happened though luckily....my husband used the last of his savings to buy me a new one today at Staples (he's so sweet)....they're very pricey £71.99...but he wanted to buy one that would last!!!.....I did register on freecycle last night but there are others that want them in my area...my OH said he didn't want me to do without as my computer is my only pleasure at the moment...I must remember to treat him to something nice when we're out of debt....he said I couldn't pay for it as he knew the money I'd put in my purse was for overpayment on my CC and he didn't want to spoil my plans and didn't need his bit of money....it's so good when they are supportive!!!!
Going to pay some off my card monday so it will hopefully be under £1000

You be careful now! Take care of yourself, or you'll be getting a serious injury from us... :naughty:
