Well I've had quite a good day today as firstly I have paid another £40 off the CC..so...am now under £800:j :j :j
Then my daughter has been round and said I could have her TV (she only bought it 12 months ago) as she has bought another one...she's even giving me the stand to go with it....this is great as our tv is only small!!:T :T :T
They are going on holiday in about a month(not booked yet) so I will be having my little grandson for a week...he goes to nursery 2 days a week ...but it will be lovely spending time with him...hopefully I'll be able to look after him properly!!
The door handle fell off my fridge yesterday and my hoover has decided not to hoover:mad:   luckily I have warranties for both of these..so it won't cost anything to fix:o :o:o and luckily both are getting fixed on tuesday so will only have to waste one day sat about...
So all in all not a bad day:D :D:D

Sounds like you may be getting somewhere with the Barclaycard - I reckon you will have a positive letter from them this week.

Good news about the cc payment too, things are generally going in the right direction!

taxi, I don't know how you do it! You are off work following a major op and somehow you still manage to pay off debt! You're a wonderwoman.

Hi you 2 ...thanks for popping in...I was beginning to get lonely in here...I thought you'd all got bored with me...LOL
Sure hope I'm getting somewhere with Barclays ...then I don't have to think about the MBNA 0% running out...if I don't I can get some good deals on my Halifax cards..so am not too worried...I just wonder what they can possibly be checking out as surely my credit files tell them everything!!...I'm just impatient
I can't believe how well it's going either at the moment...but I am being really frugal(except for magazines) and my OH is earning more now we've changed cab firms..so that helps...we are managing to cover all bills without getting further into the OD.Though I have next to no savings I think I should still get rid of the debt first but worry about my tax bill next year ..I'd rather pay my debt first and stick the tax bill on the OD ..so will have to decide nearer the time..

HI taxi, of course we're not bored! Excellent that your OH is earning enough to cover bills - just think how much you'll be able to pay off when you're back at work too!

I'm doing the same as you with tax bills. It seems pointless saving when you've got credit card bills to pay. I've got ample room on my OD to pay this year's tax bill, I do have nagging fears about next year's though, which will be bigger.... Oh well, paying the debts feels like the best thing to do.

Keep relaxing and getting better, and keep posting too

Thanks for that...I don't think we owe any tax now until next January..so I have a bit of breathing space....
I'm having 6 months off (if the DRS signs me off that long) as I have a lot of lifting to do on the cab..so should be back sept..I think!!!...so will be able to earn some money then.
My job at the moment is to think of inventive ways to pay more off..don't understand e-bay...so may do a car boot when I can (months away yet though)....this living frugally really does help...I think I only need bread and milk this week ...will look later...as I've loads of shopping in....
I think sometimes it's harder being self-employed as you are relying on other people for you're income.....I just bank it and spend as little as possible and eventually I'll have credit in the bank...that's my hope anyway...who knows
