Evening all..quite pleased with myself...my buildings and contents insurance is due on the 16th Oct...so gave my present insurers a call(halifax)..have been with them 5 years and only made 1 claim last december due to storm damage....their quote....£575.51...I told them there and then that I would be cancelling with them!!!!!...so I did it the MSE way and the AA are the cheapest at £235 including A/D....so have done that through quidco (£35 back) but it hasn't tracked yet.....while I was on the AA site I paid for the 1st payment and then the site cut off(said due to maintainance) so I then phoned and they confirmed it had all gone through and my documents will be in the post within the next 5 days...so do you think that it will track.
I also looked at lloyds before that as it had £120 cashback but the quotes were over £400 will that affect quidco...thanks...I obviously logged out of lloyds before the AA one but followed it through until the end...
Apart from that not a lot else happening here
  • Hopefully you will be OK with the insurance tracking on QuidCo. On the AA page within Quidco, how long does it say it takes to track?

If it doesn't, just file an enquiry with QuidCo stating your name & policy number (when you get it) and it should hopefully be resolved OK.

    Fingers crossed!

*PS: You do clear down Internet cookies before using QuidCo I hope?

I am sure you will be fine with quidco. but even if it doesn't track - you have saved a fortune compared with the old policy, so a win win situation really x

Hi LA and hypno...it says it takes 0-1 days...it hasn't tracked so far....before I went on it I switched the computer off and then switched it back on(when it is closing down it uses window washer)...it usually tracks...I know I've saved loads but the extra £35 would be handy as thats what quidco is about.

Morning all..hope you are all well..
As usual not a lot happening in Taxi household!!!!...I've to go out later to bank my MS cahback cheque which arrived this morning along with yesterdays take and £10 of change out of the copper jar..so once cleared I can make an overpayment to egg.My IB arrived in the bank today a day late and will be taken out within the next couple of weeks to go towards my Barclays overpayment...
This afternoon I am at the dentist for a filling and think that's the last of my treatment so guess they will expect payment today and then will have to get a large bag of dog food later so thats in the region of £20...£25 depending on whether it's on offer...but it lasts him a few months...this evening I'll need to do the cleaning as the man is coming tomorrow to set up my new laptop and networking the computers...
So have a good day everyone and hope the weather is better where you are as it's freezing here!!!!

Evening all...aren't husbands wonderful sometimes...mine is anyway....you know I told you he bought me a laptop last week well today after I'd been to the dentist we had to pick up the dogs food..well next door to it is PC world ...so DH suggested we had a look in there for a laptop bag...now PC world is not known for being cheap!!!!!...so we had a look and DH picked one up at £20 a pretty mediocre one....I was looking at this all singing all dancing executive one...a belkin notebook trolley NE-10 and because it wasn't priced thought I would ask the man how much?...a girl can dream can't she?...he said he thought it was about £10 as it was end of line and smiled so did the lady stood with him so I thought he was taking the p..s and asked him to check for me...and guess what it was £9.97 so DH snapped his hand off for it!!!!...so I'm now the proud owner of a posh laptop bag thingy with wheels and a handle like those posh business people have....so am really chuffed...I came home and the same bag on the internet was well over £40 ...bargain or what...well done PC World...and totally DFW for me as DH bought it for me...what more can a girl want...he's good to me....
  • WOW total bargain there hypno! That's fantastic. Bless your lovely husband too.

You seem in good spirits - that's good to 'see'.

Hope that the insurance tracks soon. If it's not there within a week then lodge an enquiry with them and I am sure it will be OK.

It's me taxi...lol....I looked at the bit where you make an enquiry and it said I can't make one until 2nd october as it can take 14 days to track...so no idea why it says tracking 0-1 days...lol...so will keep an eye on it ...but the time was right in the drop down box so looks like it will track as it wouldn't have had the time and date in there ..so thats ok....
I am in quite good spirits actually for a change...don't know why I'm down sometimes as I have a lovely healthy family...we are in a lot of debt but don't struggle to make payments or anything...life could be a lot worse...couldn't it?...I think boredom plays a part.....
I've been thinking that I will join slimming world this week ...I know it's not DFW...but it gets me out and gives me a focus to lose this weight(7 stones worth)...I'm also going to go to the gym where my DD works and start swimming and doing some exercise...I think that will do me good!!!
I'm back at work the 29th of this month and debtbusting should improve then so I may achieve the targets I've set myself..so thats good....
I have JJS birthday and christmas presents lined up and both of my DDs christmas presents....so now only 3 sons to go...DD1 boyfriend and DS3 girlfriend...so quite sorted..
