Hi Hypno ...I think I'm going back 29th september.....have an appointment this friday at job centre as I want to make sure I fill the right forms in for the £40 p/w they are going to pay me for going back to work...don't want something technical to stop it going through....I'm not looking forward to going back as I feel quite nervous as I can't remember how to use the system and can't think of a lot of the roads and I'm driving a new car that I haven't driven much...but the boredom of being at home and the motivation of paying my debts off and being able to pay the tax instead of putting it on a CC is whats driving me....I now know we can live quite comfortably if i don't go back to work and didn't have debt....and could pay debt if I didn't work...DH bless him said wait until the season is over and the roads are quieter before going back if I want!!!!..very tempting!!!...I do think I will go back at end of month and see how much I can manage(to qualify for the benefit I only need do 16 hrs p/w)...so it leaves me options I guess...

What it does give you is the "luxury" (although that is not the right word, I am sure) of being able to reduce your workload again if you realise that you have gone and done too much too soon (if that makes sense). Hopefully, now you know that you CAN manage without the extra income, it takes the pressure of you a bit.

Therefore if you go back to work and you find you are exhausted, then you can ease off a bit, knowing that you can still pay the bills and the debt, albeit at a slower rate.

So, quite a good position to be in, I would guess! Just make sure you pace yourself a bit (says she with a sore neck and a diary full of clients :o )!!

You've totally summed it up there...that's exactly what I wanted to say but as usual I went all around the houses to say it...If I can manage to work full time...it'll mean out of debt sooner ...if I can't not too much pressure...why couldn't I say it like that...lol

    Morning all,
Hope you are all well!!!..What a lovely day I had yesterday....firstly BT credited the £8 0dd back(I know it's not a lot but can go towards debt)....then we went to Preston as planned to Toys R Us to buy JJ something(planned £20ish)....you'll never believe what DH did...he only went and bought me a brand new laptop £599..the gateway all singing all dancing one with web cam and then bought JJ loads of toys bringing the total up to £676..he had the cash to pay for them but being a moneysaving geek...I said I'll pay on my MS card 1/2 % cashback and he's giving me the cash to pay it all back...so have earnt a couple of pounds also...then we had a starbucks coffee(he wouldn't let me pay) and he bought me a book laptops for seniors as you all know I'm a technophobe.
Then we went to DDS last night for a drink and a meal so it was a really lovely day...
I'm not on the laptop yet as I have to work out how to network it...I've worked out I need a router(as I only have a modem)...I don't know whether my desktop has a network card either!!!...so will need something for that...also desktop windows xp...laptop vista...so don't know how to do all this so will probably have to get somebody in!!!!..will look on the tech boards but don't understand jargon...
I have an appointment at the jobcentre at 12.30 today as well about going back to work...have a good day all

Good luck with getting everything networked - I don't understand these things either but I have found the peeps on the techie board very friendly in the past!

Good luck too with the jobcentre appt. I hope you have a good day.
