Afternoon all..well not a lot happening around here...pretty heavy week this week with bills loan due,egg card and MS card..then another loan next week...guess I may hit the O/D for a few days this month...nothing I can do about that...I got up late this morning and haven't done much since....ah well...take care everyone xx

Been away for a week to North Devon (beautiful) and just catching up.

Sorry to read that Tiscali are still being absolutely useless and things haven't been sorted out yet however everything else looks mega positive and you're doing fabulously well.

Just HOW FAR have you come in the relatively short space of time since you joined the site!!? I know I have said it before but it's just amazing.

Other news from me is, I have become an Auntie again as my sister-in-law gave birth at the weekend but it sounds like they had a pretty useless midwife who put the baby totally at risk (actually, also S-I-L) so I am waiting to hear from my brother over the next day or so as they will have to do further tests on the baby. It was a little girl by the way.

I have told my brother to write down EVERYTHING that she did & said as he might need it to lodge a complaint or whatever. So, a nervous few days here.

Hello Auntie LA....congratulations and I hope mother and baby are going to be ok and you're right they need to write everything down incase they need to take legal action.
Nice to see you back I've missed you and so glad you had a lovely holiday and hope you are feeling totally re-charged.
Tiscali should be sorted very shortly(she says crossing fingers) and that will be the end of that...and will get compo off them....the head man says I definitely will but they have to sort everything first to know what to award me...you're O/D looks good by the way...take care xxx

Hi Taxi! good news on being paid £40 a week for a year, plus the extras! Even more to throw at the debt/less pressure for you to work manically to start with - very very positive!!

Although you have lots of payments coming out and putting pressure on funds this week - just think how much you can reduce your signature by!!

Hi Hypno...there's always something good in any given situation isn't there?...I must admit I was really shocked that I'm getting £300 for going back to work!!!..though very happy...I'm nervous but happy to be going back as the boredom is getting to me and at least I can pay more off my debts as I think there is one hell of a recession heading our way and a few rocky times to be had by all...and glad that I've decided to stay in this house rather than move!!!
DH and I have spoken at length about the £40 p/w and we have decided to put this away to go on holiday next winter..and not pay it off debt..as I will be earning again and all CCs will be paid off before the 0% ends..we will only have the loans and will probably be able to get them onto 0% or save and overpay them(I will work that one out at a later date)..I will be living the DFW style in all other ways so don't know whether this is an extravagant thing to do or not..we will be going to Cuba or Mexico...
We don't go out and our holiday is the only time that we get to spend a lot of good quality time together(which is priceless)
What do you all think?...
I will work part time for the first week or two ..then get back into full time as soon as I can...I'll have more motivation the more I earn!!!

I think it sounds like a good plan - especially because the £40 is extra money that you had not anticipated in getting. Good for you xx

Thanks for that Hypno!!!...thats the way I was looking at it as well and the naughty bit of me was thinking that the government loves taking my money so why not have a free holiday on them...lol...and if I may be making(hopefully £200p/w overpayments) then it may be justified!!! and that in the grand scheme of things a holiday will be well deserved if I've paid off those CCs and made a start on paying those loans off...
I plan on putting all the money I earn after tax and insurance into paying off the debts so it will be as though I'm not working IYSWIM...
I can dream now and find the holiday in a DFW way...yippee!!!!

I am sure you will find it really difficult to spend that money on a holiday (NOT!!!)

Don't know when they'll come out...I'm torn between booking last miute or after christmas this year to guarantee(our hotel supposedly)..got plenty of time to think about it as the money will be in my web isa gaining interest...
