Get yourself on the Lidl and Aldi newsletter emails.

I got a fab microfibre mop (complete with 2 pads - one has fine scrubby bits too) and a pair of spare pads for the grand total of £7 from Aldi earlier this summer - they will come round again so don't miss them.
Looks like microfibre mop might be the answer then. Funny but I got the Adli newsletter just now....ooooh....I want that laptop!!! ;D

HANDS N KNEES, for me, too!!Fairy liquid on a sponge, then rinse/dry with a synthetic leather.

You could also try one of those flexible plastic blades, they sell in Halfords. Thats what I use on the windows, too, no streaks, quick & just leaves the edges of the frame to wipe dry!

bucket of hot water, washing soda crystals, big car sponge and away you go. ;D ;D ;D

I finished the walls, (7 of them) burned off about 8 stones,  the old fart helped I must admit, he did the tops and I did the middle downwards    then all the doors and frames and skirtings then the window frames (all 13 of them) and now were exhausted but god, does the place look cleaner!!!!!

    Hi,

I was told when we had our laminate floor laid that I should not get it wet when cleaning so I have been spending extortionate amounts on Pledge Laminate floor cleaning cloths but having read this thread it sounds like I can use water and cleaner.

Are your floors still ok ? Do you think my floor will be ok if I use a normal cleaner or even the vinegar solution ?

Izane, i have used water with a well rung out vileda mop since I had my laminate floor four years ago, its fine.

I have been using pledge soapy wood wash but I will try with the vinegar.

If you make sure the mops well rung out I'm sure it will not do any harm :)
    Regards

I've used the Lakeland Plastics 'Laminate floor wash and shine' SEE HERE and it was wonderful,
says it will do 10 washes but that is using 100ml in 10 litres water, but I only used 25 ml in 2.5 litres and enough for a large floor

Tried some new stuff for laminates today but it still looks dull, how can I get the shine back on it?
