    No offence taken :D

But I gladly & happily take on your thoughts of using my shoe leather more, and my car less.

As I've mentioned before, I'll be happy to pay more on any form of car taxation - just as soon as some of it is transferred to the easyjetsetters.

It's absolutely scandalous that there's no duty whatsoever on the aviation fuel used by the I'm-off-to my- Spanish-villa-for-the-fourth-time-this-year-brigade, when the rest of us are being taxed 90% by Gordon for putting petrol in our cars to get to work!

Yes, that IS a long way to drive... and I'm glad you agree the tax on petrol is stupidly high.

Quite so Murph - that so many people can't quite grasp this concept is totally beyond me :confused:

OOOOOOh, they say, it's not fair on the little old granny who only drives once a week and even then just 25 yards down the road :(

Yes it ruddy well is - simple - more miles = more fuel used = more tax to the government to waste on stuff like The Dome, illegal wars etc

I already pay a great deal of road tax for each mile that I travel.

Our fuel is hugely overtaxed as it is and quite simply, the more miles that I travel, the more tax is extorted from me via my fuel usage.

As you may or may not have heard, the govenment is thinking about putting these little black boxes in all of our cars to monitor how much we use them and to tax us accordingly, this will mean that the majority of people will be paying more tax.

Click on this link to sign the petition to stop this from happening.:j

    How is this spam?
Personally i am sick to the back teeth of the government passing new laws to get more money out of us and no one doing anything about it. I think this is a worth while petition and it has already received over 600,000 signitures.

This is a money saving help site ... not a political one.
If you were a regular poster asking for or giving help on a reasonably regular basis then I might be inclined to give the benefit of the doubt, but it was your first post.
Finally, there have been many other posts about this petition. OK?
Now if you have a problem with reclaiming overpaid tax or can tell others how to do it, then you will be making a great contribution.
    Cheers
    Ray
