Thats fab news oggy glad things are moving for you.
We still havent had an answer from Bovis apparently the MD has been in meetings all day and the sales manager cannot give an definite answer without talking to them so we have to wait until tomorrow. Can only assume this is a good thing?!
Unfortunately Hubbys transfer went and fell through this morning so we are racing against time to find another position withi an hours drive as we definitely need to make the move (closer to family)

    Which builder you with badaz?

Its Taylor Wimpey, the sales advisor said one couple had to wait 4 weeks for their results. Thing is the longer they leave it the more costs incurred in the meantime means less chance of putting anything right if it needs it.

These companies really do want you to jump through hoops with the PX scheme they want everything their own way.

Well after 48 hours we finally got a response and it was no. The sales rep was so apologetic i felt a bit bad for her lol. In a bit of a quandry now as to what to do. Hubby wants to increase the offer but i dont as i think anymore would be too much for us. The sales rep got some figures off of them and they said our figure was £10k too low so basically despite what they said beforehand they want the asking price which we just cant do. Ho hum off to email crest nicholson to see if they'd consider part exchange in our area- we've decided due to timings part exchange would be our best bet so are going to exhaust those avenues first.

Well, finally got through to the office today. The survey results are back on the house we are pxing and everything is good to go :T all they need is a gas inspection certificate and an electrical inspection certificate and thats it :)

Should be getting the official confirmation in the post in the morning so full steam ahead now with the mortgage application.
Oggy, don't expect anything from the surveyor they won't give you any information or feedback, all ours said was "hi" "bye" and "your house is well maintained" that was it.
