This appears to work for free delivery ONLY if the total cost including the Hellmans £5.99 goes over the £15 limit. If the total items in my basket are less than this the £5.99 is deducted but I don't get free delivery. Also does not work for first class or express delivery so looks like they fixed it. Damn meetings after work - I missed this one :(

No it did work but it's been stopped as the keyboard and mouse from last week was less than £15:)

  • When I order only the Hellmans book, I get free delivery. When I add something else to the order, I'm charged delivery on it, in spite of asking for it all to be delivered with the Hellmans book (ie one delivery), so it saves me nothing (except that I'd get a Hellmans book that I don't really want for free!). Grrr!

I can't get the free delivery using this method - I get the cost of the book + 59p refunded.

Presumably they are now only refunding the increase in the cost of the carriage due to the Hellmann book (£3.34 up from £2.75 for a single book).

So no more free ride :-(

    Ho hum.....

No... but I ordered anyway - a book I've wanted for a while, using up a £5 token, and another for my daughter for Christmas to take the cost up to over £15 so post free, plus the Hellman's freebie - all for £4.09. As the book I wanted plus postage less the £5 token would have cost me just a little bit more if that was all I'd ordered, and as the Hellman's was free anyway, I've basically got a book for my daughter for free. Worth it in the end! :T

(Wish I'd known about that £5 keyboard and mouse last week though!)

  • Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!

  • Amazon sent me an e-mail saying that there was a problem with my credit card and I needed to enter an alternative card number - I did this and £32 in delivery charges were added to the order. :( Have now cancelled the entire order (spent ages on Monday doing my Xmas shopping). So watch out that massive delivery charges are not added to your order retrospectively. :( Will now have to go and do my Xmas shopping elsewhere. I think this is a bit out of order by amazon when Martin had checked with them and they had said they were okay with the loophole. :(
