Evening all
I'm back!
Well I never went away but have had my friend to stay so been too busy to post. We had a huge jam-packed 10days. Did lots of exploring locally (castle, beaches, harbours, parks etc) and lots of socialising. I also went to North Wales for work for 2 days, and left my friend alone in the flat :rotfl:but she made me dinner when I returned. It was lovely having company and someone to cook me dinner! She left today so need to massively tidy and sort out the flat now!
I have a bit of [STRIKE]gossip [/STRIKE]news....last night me and my friends went out to the local pub, and I invited my old schoolfriend neighbour, her flatmate and their cute 21 year old friend who I have lusted over for months to come to. Us 4 and my friend ended up going out in the local town after closing time and had a really good night, and......me and their cute friend finally got it on!
:heartpuls He stayed last night
and we seem to get on really well. Not pinning my hopes on the romance of the century, :smileyhea but maybe a bit of fun for awhile. I'll keep you all posted! :rotfl:
Absolutely exhausted today (ahem!) so have done very little apart from drop my friend off at station, and do one load in WM. I need to do uni work so will try do a bit after tea.
OS has been a bit slack whilst my friend was here, but she did comment on how good I am at using up leftovers! :rotfl:
Hope I haven't missed too much - JackieG ouch that sounds painful  take it easy. Bitsy - saw the skirt pics on FB, looks fab!!
Have a good evening all

Hope the burn heals quickly and you feel better soon.

Think we have the same make of bed, we got ours last October and it is really comfy, even DH thinks it was a great buy and he was difficult to convince to buy it in the first place.
Went to Lidl this morning for weekly shop and stopped off for a look at chest of drawers or tallboy for youngest DD in nearby shopping centre.
DH has gone for walk with oldest DD so just made sausage sandwiches for me and youngest as middle daughter has gone out for a meal tonight.
Finally got our loft ladder properly fixed so it swings down from trapdoor
- a lot safer than teetering from a short set of ladders underneath.

The ceremony sounds lovely and so much more meaningful than just throwing money at a keeping up with the joneses event.
Enjoying dance programme on telly while browsing on here, bliss.
Spoke too soon, hubby and dd have returned so need to feed them.

Don't think my memory can recall 40 years ago very clearly, but wouldn't change a thing, but things certainly moved a tad slower then:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::o:rotfl::rotfl:DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Goodness it's humid and heavy here tonight. Almost hope it thunders although it terrifies me.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Hi all, Been a busy day for me....DS3 cut down 2 big old trees that I have been afraid would fall on the house....I wasn't involved with the felling but was on duty for tea and sandwiches plus large dinner. Will have lots of lovely timber for the fires during the winter so all good really.
Visited a cousin who was 80 today....he had 2 strokes almost 3 years ago and hasn't been great since, was a very active man and is now driving his wife and family crazy as he spends his time ordering them all round, and has a conniption if they don't jump immediately. He has now almost stopped eating and refuses to get up so I am not sure that he will last much longer. Its so sad to see him as he is....he was very kind to my parents in the years when they weren't well before their deaths and I feel I owe him for that but there seems to be nothing anybody can do to help him in any way.
JackieG....hope that you are feeling better pet....take it easy.
NPM....agree on the stress front pet, you do so much.
Lots of lovely rain here this evening, doesn't help the floors when the dogs have been out but will just wipe it over in the morning.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, hugs where needed or wanted, stay safe and sleep well.

Sorry to hear about your cousin Marie, I did laugh at you saying conniption though, that was one of my gran's favourite words.
