Morning all - sounds like everyone has a packed weekend in front of them - and I'm no exception! Loads of washing to do - thanks to two wet beds last night and OH being back from work. Need to pull out the remaining bits and pieces of the shower and tiles that we're replacing, finding LOADS of damp patches unfortunately so will see what the end result is and treat that.
This morning we're popping off to the local camping show - might be a few bargains as its the last weekend of the show. Tea last night was takeaway curry as the children had been good, so the curry I got out of the freezer (which hadn't defrosted) will be turned into some sort of spanish chicken / moroccan chicken type thing. We'll see what I can transform it into!! Have a good day allMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Morning All
Woke up very early for me
Bargainbird - maybe this tune is more suited to your camping :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Today is going to be a clean up and tidy up day, a good blitz is needed so it will be DH & myself;);)
I have some gammon that is ready for using, and a trip to Aldi could be on the cards too, need to stock up on correct foods as LCing is kick in NOW!!
Take care all - DG
thanks:rotfl::rotfl:You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

Morning all - what a lot of early birds!
Rained overnight here, too, but warm and sunny now. My strawberries, garlic and parsley are doing ok, as are my precious apple trees.
Shopping this morning and sorting out a new 'phone - got a really good deal through DD who works in a 'phone store. New model Blackberry, more minutes/texts than my current 'phone, for only £4 more a month! :j This will be only my third phone in almost 10 years, so don't think I'm being extravagant! It's my birthday soon, so it's an early present to myself! :rotfl:
One load of washing done now, ready for the line, and at least two more lurking, plus tons of ironing. Might have salad for tea, odds and ends of cooked meat, cheese, few cooked sausages, just need a few salad veggies. We had kedgeree for last night's tea, so we don't actually need a big meal today.
Have a lovely Saturday, everyone, hugs and kisses if you need them!

Morning folks.
Miecherox Take it easy when you can. Good to hear you are getting kicked! Very comforting especially when you haven't been feeling very well.
Lou hope you get the meds sorted soon. Just keep popping in on here. Have a laugh, have a ((((hug)))), whatever you want.
BB Well done you on getting the job:T
Very wet here too:D. Can't wait for my new digging hoe to come today so I can see if the ground has softened up any. Can't believe I could be so excited about a hoe and a bit of rain, but it's just a sign of getting older I think:p.
Did an Asda price check just now and have a wee voucher for 1.04 waiting for later in the month when I am broke!
What am I doing today? Digging, digging, oh, and some digging I think!
Kids won't be happy with the rain as they were looking forward to the park. They will have to welly up and come to the lottie. They disappear off to the wooded area at the side and make dens and do proper kid's playing:D.
Just got an email to say that ebay has a free listing weekend but my phone needs downloaded to the pc or whatever, so I can't download any pics. Think I may list everything anyway and add pics once dh off on tues and sorts it for me. I have a mountain or stuff to put on, and don't want to waste the chance.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Good morning OSers!!
Hope i find you all well
After a lovely warm and sunny week we have a miserable weekend ahead. Had a good shower of rain last night-which the garden was thankful for-and more of the same until monday.
Have my hairdresser coming after lunch so wont be going anywhere today. Think i'll squeeze in a little ironing before that,no point hoovering yet i'll just have a general straighten/tidy up.
Been so busy recently that i havent found time to sit and read:( After i've put DD to bed in the evenings i just wanna sit in front of the tv so i dont have to concentrate....so im gonna make the extra effort tonight and get a few hours with my book! Kinda hoping for another storm so i can snuggle in bed-always feels good!
But first im gonna have a good lurk:D
Have good days. May catch you later.

Morning everyone,
I thought that I was up early this morning but it seems that i am one of the last.
DS has gone off camping with friends for the weekend (just as it turns wet!), OH has gone out cycling, he has turned into a MAMIL (middle aged man in lycra- not a pretty sight), DD2 and I are off to her netball tournament for the morning and DD1 is still in bed.
It rained here last night but I have still pegged out my washing, you never know it might dry.
Tea tonight is HM fish pie as DS and DD1 are not here and they don't like it, it is DD2s favourite.
Hope you all have a good day especially Lou.:)0 -
Uolypool - Forgot to say great news re DD and school :T:D

Morning all,
Wet here too, but we do need it, not sure how I will dry the washing though.
We picked the dresser up last night, I love it :T I am going to shabby chic it, will put some photos on FB when I get round to it.
OH gone to the boot sale, not sure how long he will be there cos of the rain, and dd still in bed.
I am going to do something with duck eggs for dinner, maybe some baked eggs ?? will have a look for recipes later on, will have it in front of Dr Who :j
Need to hoover through and have a quick tidy, and drape the washing around.
Lou my darling, you need to stop blaming yourself, it is simply not acceptable for a grown man to disapear with no word, what if there was an emergency?? I would be having stern words when he gets back, big hugs to you and ds xxxx
BB well done on the job xx
have good days all xx
PS any suggestions on what colour to paint my dresser ? the rest of the room will be painted white (eventually) and I want a pastel colour, but OH does not want it too girly.

Good Morning all ,well a smidge of rain at last just about wet the cobbles here in north Kent but some more is supposed to be on the way.Much as I'm not keen on it, I know the farmers are getting a bit desperate for it.Well I did all my essential shopping yesterday so have no more to buy for another week.Came in a couple of pounds under budget which was good ,the left over will go in my 'holiday icecreams for the grandchildren tin' that way it won't get frittered away.Apart from essentials that I needed I managed to buy a huge box of mushrooms reduced for 45p (750gms)and a nice melon at half price. The mushrooms after I had peeled and used some for dinner last night the remainder were quartered and put into the freezer.
Bargains are few and far between at the moment I have noticed that both Sainsbobs and Mr T are reducing very little at all where I live.So if you see something at all its a case of nab it quick.I noticed yesterday that even in the big Mr T's near to me an awful lot of stuff was out of stock, and there were quite a few empty gaps in the shelves .Perhaps they are tighening up on their stock control. The lady on the till said she had never know it so quiet, this was on a Friday afternoon at around five. This is in one of their flagship superstores.Maybe people are thinking twice before loading up their trolleys.
I am definitely cutting back and only going to the shops when I have a list of essential stuff to get that I haven't got anything else I can adapt with.
Certainly concentrates ones mind on what you are spending.I had to buy some nutmeg yesterday and was suprised at how much the spices have increased in price.Luckily it will last me quite a long time.
Today I am going to get on with my porch painting as its an inside job I was going to have a go in the little bit of overgrown garden with my long-handled shears but as its too damp out there I will leave it to dry out a bit first. There is a very watery looking sun struggling to appear at the moment ,maybe it will dry up a bit this afternoon.
Hope you all have a good week-end
Take care everyone

Morning :hello:
I'm sat here with a peel-off face mask on, it's tightening up and it's difficult to drink my coffee. I'll have to use a straw
The new girls are settling in well, we've called them Cleo and Pepper.
I weeded the veg patch yesterday, it's looking much better now.
Have been inspired by Bitsy, so I'm going to make a skirt. I've had a quick look through my stash, all my material is too smallI'm sure I had larger pieces, must have stored them somewhere else
We had a storm last night but it didn't last long. Shame, I love thunder and lightningIt's just started raining again, hopefully it'll last all day.
Aril on the Super Scrimpers thread has found a blog by the girl on the program, thought I'd put it here too, looks like a good read. http://gemfatale.blogspot.com/Bulletproof0
