That's a lovely touch to include the foster child in the ceremony Hester, what a lovely memory for her, whatever happens in her wee life. :)

    Afternoon All,

Can't believe its 4 and I'm only just posting. Don't know where the day has gone.

Same here with the weather, a thunderstorm last night and woke up to heavy rain but now its bright and blowy so going to risk pegging out.

feeling a bit delicate after the wine last night:o my DB and SIL called and we got chatting, didn't realise quite how many glasses I had had.

Still managed to get the house cleaned through, even the bathrooms. tea tonight is steak and salad so nice and easy.

DH is really upset about Seve Ballesteros, bit if a hero if his, we saw him win the open at Lytham quite a few years ago, such a shame.

Plans for this evening are to do as little as poss. I have promised DS3 we will watch Toy Story 3 with him as we missed our usual family movie night last night.

Going to streak my hair this afternoon and have some me time, need to shave my bits and fake tan. paint my nails, basically make me self feel a bit better about this ageing body:rotfl:

We have Oscars 2nd birthday tomorrow. Haven't decided whether to make strawberry tarts today or in the morning, might be a bit if a rush.

Anyway, have a good Saturday all x

Sorry about the quick post earlier but I was trying to talk to DH about plans for the rest of the day as he thought it might be worth trying to get up the lottie and me to take DC2 to the party. So I phoned Mum and she is going to pick me up from church tomorrow, so she doesn't have to come to the house at all :j and I will get dinner cooked for me and the brood and they will be entertained, they are so excited about going to Nanny and Grandad's. Then I grabbed the lunch box and pressie and rushed out the door with DC2.

He had a great time and wants that sort of party when it is his birthday. So I will have to look into that.

The water butts in the garden are full to busting :T and the washing that was soaked last night is dry  though we have had no sun and it has been muggy all day.

I am doing sweet chilli sausages and buttery mash for tea tonight.

    Hi Guys,

Quick question. I have made strawberry tarts for tomorrow as I wont have time in the morning. They have turned out lovely and I have them in one of those lockable cake store and carry things. Would you put the whole thing in the fridge overnight or leave at room temp. I don't want them to go hard but think they would be good chilled iykwim. Anyone any idea:)

Sorry, can't help with the strawberry tarts. I"m just good at eating them!

Went up to the lottie with me new hoe this afternoon and dug 3 full beds ready to put my spuds in. Think I will get them in tomorrow, as it would be nice to have something in the ground other than just weeds! Think I need a hot bath tonight, as I could feel muscles I didn't know I had when I was digging. Goodness knows if I will be able to move tomorrow lol.
Popped in to my friend on the way home for a cuppa and a natter. She is such a great person and the kids all had fun on the trampoline while we talked gardening and money saving. She says I am slowly converting her....... she was always a brand name shopper, now buys own brand and value brand and mixes the 2! Doesn't let on to the fussy family either. She has also eventually let me get some GF cakes etc from AF as they are so expensive and her daughter always appreciates a wee treat.
Just doing pasta for tea with left over pesto, some cherry tomatoes mixed in and some olives. Then dh can take some to work tomorrow and I won't have to cook twice. Too bloomin tired now and want to sit down for a cuppa.

Have been inspired by Bitsy, so I'm going to make a skirt. I've had a quick look through my stash, all my material is too small :( I'm sure I had larger pieces, must have stored them somewhere else

We had a storm last night but it didn't last long. Shame, I love thunder and lightning :D It's just started raining again, hopefully it'll last all day.

    Make a boob tube ;)
I am with you on the storm front, massive storm missed us, we had a bit in the night and slept through it :o
    Morning All,

Hope you are all well, big drama here last night was that I spilled a cup of freshly made tea over myself and had to go to the minor injuries clinic :o I am fine, it was really sore and I have one wee tiny blister. I was more embarrassed than anything, having to show my fat belly and stretch marks to a stranger! OH is now not talking to me though, as I got such a fright, I threw my tea on the floor, which splashed him, broke my cup, and made an almighty mess  Never mind my poor belly :rotfl: Never mind, I think its his TOTM :D

No plans for today, apart from the drama last night, I am not in a very good place atm, in fact it happened because I was distracted, I will potter about the house and see what's what.

Have a good day and take care all of you.

    Jackiexxx

Well I think I'd chuck my cup if I spilled over 70 degree hot water on my body too  Hope you're not too sore and have a hug for not being in a good place ATM xxx You know where I am if you need to chat x

Wouldn't mind seeing BG myself and I'm not even a scout! :p

Yum yum me too :D He can tie me in knots any day ;) :rotfl:

Busy day today, spent it doing more sewing (pics on FB) and sorting out an e-ISA at Nationwide as it's a far better rate then my current one.
H has been all domesticated today and played with the kids, put 2 loads of washing on (hung one out on line) and put tea on (OK oven chips and fish fingers but hey I ain't complaining ;))

And best news is my very good friend had her 3rd child this morning :D Can't wait to have a cuddle :)

OK off to browse the net for how to make kids tops and my other pregnant friend suggested I make something for her baby so off to nose for ideas.

Bargainbird - Well done on the job :T

NPM - for £7 an hour I'd clean for a few hours a week, that's double my hourly rate for CMing! Roll on the Summer. Any chance you being signed off with stress?

Julie - sorry no idea about the tarts :o But they sound lovely.

hester - how lovely to include the FC :) Your DD has my admiration for fostering, she sounds a star.

Sorry if I've missed anything else. Hugs and spoons all round x

Julie I would just put them somewhere cool rather than the fridge
