Be as suspicious as you like Pnopine but I can assure you that I am neither being sarcastic nor do I work for You Frame.

I signed to this forum only to make my personal comment about You Frame just like other people, good and bad. I have been made aware of the negative criticism on this forum (and I am not saying it is unjustified) by a photographer friend who also orders from You Frame and I wanted to give a positive slant from my experiences with this company.

I have visited the You Frame premises in person as I live in Leeds and the staff are very friendly and the set up very professional. I am not in any way defending the delays which people are experiencing, I am purely giving my opinion on the service I have received.

Hunter if you've received great service perhaps you could let the rest of us know your secret? Are you a regular customer or a groupon customer? Perhaps they treat us differently?
  • I ordered from You Frame back in June, by early Aug I was annoyed at not receiving the item. I e-mailed various e-mail addresses and got no response.
I'd read various threads that suggested ringing was a waste of time but I thought I'd give it a go, they answered the call straight away, pulled up my details and said they would do it as a priority. It arrived a week later.

My thoughts on it are that they hold off until you get in touch and speak with someone and then process the order. If Groupon customers dotn get in touch then they dont get their order. I think they have oversold themselves and this is their way of managing it

It does sound like they oversold themselves and are giving Groupon customers second class service. Can you do a credit card charge back if they fail to supply what you have paid for within a reasonable time scale?
  • Just to add to the numbers of disgruntled You frame customers....I'm suffering the same fate having bought a groupon voucher.
Ordered the canvas print 18th July; still waiting. Have sent 2 emails and called several times- always at a different time of day. The phone either rings out indefinitely or has an engaged ring tone.
And to read this is the case for so many others is so wholly unacceptable. Appalling customer service. To mirror the sentiments of others - canot believe Groupon would partner up with them. This will make me think twice about purchasing Groupon deals in the future.
  • Like almost everyone else on this thread, I've been scammed by You Frame. I ordered on 16th July using a Groupon Voucher. emailed them again on 27th August and got the 'lockdown order' reply. Emailed again on 9th September and have no response.

I tried to find their number on their website, but it's been removed, so I found a contact number on this thread (thankyou!) but keeps ringing out.

So, I've reported them to TRADING STANDARDS.

Also, I checked on the Companies House website, to make sure they are legit. They do exist on there. They moved head office and changed Directors last year. I suspect they've got a new expansion plan that's gone wrong.

Given the universally appalling reviews about them all over the internet, I suspect they'll be going out of business very soon. Unless they change their name. So I've also registered to be sent updates by Companies House about any name change (or other change) by this company.

If I find out they've changed name I'll post reviews letting people know it's the same company, so that people don't get scammed again.
  • Hi everyone, can I just put my experiences with you frame across this forum.. I too bought a Groupon deal and today is the 21st working day I have been waiting for delivery, I am quite an impatient guy and have been checking the status of my order for a week now using the 'check status' tool on the site, it has remained 'in production' since Monday. I came across this forum last night and thought I would phone them first thing this morning, I spoke to Cheryl who is absolutely lovely! She is the perfect example of what a customer service rep should be, in fact I found it hard to be angry! She quickly located my order (on the system) and promised it would be with me by Thursday next week........... I'll keep you all posted. My thoughts on the whole process are - The company have obviously been inundated with orders, I think Groupon said 17500 units sold in July, to turn around that many units in 21 working days would be in incredible production rate of 833 a day (34/hr presuming they work around the clock), unfortunately we now live such a technological age where we are so used to ordering something off the web and getting it the very next day that we have become spoilt (myself included), perhaps we should cut them a bit of slack? Obviously if I don't get my canvas next week or if it is of poor quality I'll be re-posting with different thoughts! ;-)
  • I put in an order on 13th July and have still had no reply to several emails, and still no frame. I think two months is enough slack. I want my frame or a refund!

Bother, I wish I'd read this before ordering!

I placed my order on the 15th July and am still waiting for delivery. I managed to get through to them by phone on the 25th August and was promised that my order had been "put to the top of the queue" and would be dispatched within a week.

Haven't had a response to my emails, and their phone is now constantly engaged.

Possibly the most annoying bit is that they are still advertising on Groupon, despite the fact that they clearly can't fulfil the orders they already have in hand.

It's a shame really, I've had some really good deals off Groupon, but one or two like this and I suddenly find myself suspicious of the whole Groupon idea. Sigh.
  • Ordered a canvas on 27 July but told at that time they were very busy and it could take 21 days - STILL WAITING for it at 20 September. Sent first email chaser 1 September and told my order was "IN LOCKDOWN" and would be delivered on 3-5 days. Sent another email chasing on 17 Sept and another tonight. They are useless and I would never ever use them again
