Awww thanks for all your good lucks
Well..... it wasn't as simple as last time!
It should have only taken a few minutes to remove. It took over half an hour!! The implant was well imbedded and very deep. It took a long time to get it out and the dr had to make a bigger incision just to get it out as the tissue had caught round it so much it couldn't just be pulled out. Each time they pulled it with the forceps, it slipped out and back into my arm as it was being held so well by the tissue wrapped around it!
Once they got it out, and cleaned me up, sterri stripped and bandaged me up, I sat up and stood up from the bed and suddenly felt rather unwell. Apparently the colour drained straight from my face, I was shaking and felt pretty faint. I was told to lay back down. They tested my blood sugar levels as I suffer from Hypoglycaemia...levels were normal. Then checked my blood pressure which was on the low side. They reckon that I had gone into a bit of shock because of the time it took and getting up to quickly.
After a little while I felt much better and the colour came back to my face.
I was advised to go and get some folic acid and vitamin supplements, so went to boots and got the pregnacare conception tablets. They are 3 for 2 at the moment and when I put my boots advantage card in the machine, I had a voucher for £2.50 off healthcare so they weren't as expensive which was good!
Now its time to start BD'ing and hoping AF doesn't come! lol Although if AF does come, at least then I can start working out when is best to try!:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

OMG that sounds awful Caz2003uk, not surprising you were feeling funny after all that (I feel queasy just at the thought of it!!).
Yay at getting some vitamins. I got some folic acid last month in Asda but wont start taking them till probably September time. How far in advance is everyone else going to start taking Folic acid?0 -

I have a "pressure bandage" which to me is just a bandage lol but cos I dont have thin arms the bandage just rolls down :rotfl:Im trying to put it back in place all the time but failing miserably! They said to keep the bandage on for 48 hours! and the sterri strips for 5 days and not to get the area wet! This bandage will be lucky to make it to bed time! lol
The nurse today told me to start taking them today as we are going to be acitvely ttc. She said that it's a good idea to start on them upto a month before conception. She also said to get some for now until I fall pregnant and then they will be prescribed!:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

Just swooping in here - that last part isn't actually right (unless you're in Scotland - not sure what the rules are there). I certainly havent been prescribed folic acid and in any case, after you get pregnant you pay for prescriptions until you get your exemption certificate (normally at booking appointment) and prescribed folic acid will be more expensive than over the counter.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

No Im not in Scotland.
I wonder why I was told this today then? Bit strange that the people writing the prescription would say it if it wasn't true?
Looking into the maternity exemption certificate information, once your pregnancy has been certified by a doctor or midwife, or any time during the twelve months following the birth of your baby you can apply for the certificate and it is dated start from the date one month before the date on which we get your application, to twelve months after the expected date of the baby's birth.
This means the prescription would then be free as then exempt from paying, meaning no cost for the folic acid
Here is where I got this information from: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/1644.aspx
Lots of different information everywhere though :rotfl::jEngaged 25/12/11 :j
