ilovelondontown - Welcome to the board. I completely understand how you feel about people asking if your pregnant yet. We started decorating and I had family members that kept asking whether we were painting a nursery. Its even more annoying because I would love to be preparing a nursery.

anna_otter - Welcome to the board Anna_otter. It certainly is nice daydreaming I just wish I wasn't so impatient for it.

astridat - 3 months isn't too long and I bet you will have a lovely holiday. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the end of child free days. I'm hoping to book some winter sun at the end of this year before we start TTC in January. I've just got to get my hubby to agree (to the holiday that is):rotfl:

daisiegg- I've lost nearly 2st for the wedding with Slimming World and would really recommend them. They do promote a healthy lifestyle. I now have 3 healthy meals and cook for scratch most nights. I've just got 3lbs to lose and am working on making sure these become habits that I can pass onto my future children.

laurabllue - I've just come off of the pill and am crossing my fingers that my periods come back soon. I really hope you don't have to wait much longer for yours. I am also sorry to hear about your job situation and I don't really know what to suggest for the best. Would it be a possibility to leave change jobs once you get pregnant after your maternity leave finishes?

ThinkPink - Welcome to the board. Having 2013 as an us year is a lovely idea.

AFM - Today my stomach has been feeling all over the place so I have got my fingers crossed that its my period coming back. Knowing my luck it is just my body playing tricks on me and teasing me. As I have no idea about my cycle I thought I would order some ovulating sticks from amazon so I can start to get to know my cycle before we start TTC. As I havent had a real period for 10 years I just dont have a clue how long they last, how long my cycle is, when I ovulate or even if I ovulate. Does anyone else use these? How do you find using them? I guess I'm just trying to get my body as ready as it can be whilst I am waiting for things to fall into place.

When we got married (and the lead up to the wedding) all I got was comments was about having a baby (there were even quite a few comments in our guest books!!), but people were surprised that we want more time to ourselves- we have been together over 12 years!!:rotfl:

Welcome newbies :) nice to see the thread getting a bit busy!

Good luck to those losing weight. I could probably stand to lose a few pounds, although my bmi is healthy and I'm pretty sporty. In fact a healthy weight is about the only thing I have going for me in my wait to TTC! I'm old, not married, have no money, no house, and I'm getting so down about my OHs half hearted attitude I'm in danger of comfort eating myself out of that too! :rotfl:

ilovelondontown and ThinkPink that's so annoying when people keep asking you when you're going to have babies! It used to make me so mad, but no nobody asks any more. I guess they think I've left it too late!!
  • Good morning ladies, I hope you are all well today?

Friends keep saying about a holiday next year, or going to a festival- I have no idea what to do, what if I book things and then end up pregnant and have to let friends down, but then what if I dont make plans and then it takes me ages to get pregnant!

Thinkpink, I have this problem too! I'm hitting the big 30 next year and there is talk about going on a skiing holiday (never been) with my friends. They want to book now but I keep thinking what if I get pregnant then ther will be little point in me going! Part of me doesn't want to put my life on hold as I don't know how long this'll take but I don't want to make plans I can't keep either! VV frustrating!

VickyVics- I purposly haven't done anything with the spare room, it's currently a dumping ground for things that don't go anywhere else at home. It's currently a guest bedroom for now but it's not done up, I'm just waiting for the day I can put a bit of colour on the walls and make it a baby's room

My cycles are pretty erratic, some months (like this one) can be fairly reasonable 35 days long and some are as long as 60 days long. After the wedding I didn't have a period for 90 days! I put it down to the wedding stress/honeymoon/not getting to the gym enough. The idea that "most" women are like clockwork and 28 days a cycle is nothing but a myth to me now!
Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

Aw, thanks afoolandhermoney :) Well done avoiding the annoying nosey questions and glad you had fun playing aunty.

As for coming off the pill... I currently have the implant (nexplanon?) and I am a bit concerned about coming off it. I have been on various pills, injections and implants for the last 15 years (eek!) I can't even remember what my cycles were like and I haven't had a period for years. Given my age I will probably come off it sooner rather than later. It all depends in how OH comes round to the idea.

I also have the nexplanon implant in. I am booked into have it removes next Thursday! I had the depo provera injection for 5 years, followed by the implanon implant for 3 years followed by this nexplanon implant which has been in for 2 years! I'm interested in what happens after removal as since I have been sexually active I've always been covered by contraception in these ways and also in all that time only had 1 period (between depo provera clearning my system which took about 10 montha and the implant)

    I hope I have a smooth ride :)

    How are we all today?

I think I am now coming to the conclusion that I am just not going to get a period this month. I had my last pill on the 30th May and didn't have a full period. I did have some v v v light spotting when it was due but assumed that something more would be on the way. Fast forward to today and I am still waiting. I guess I will have to wait until July to see whether my cycle starts again. Can't help worrying though. As much as I know that worrying won't change a thing. Grrr I wish I could stop my brain from thinking!

caz2003uk good luck getting your implant out. Let us know how it goes, I'll be very interested as mine runs out soon so I'll have to get it out too.

Try not to worry VickyVics, easier said than done I know, but worrying wont help your cycles settle. Hope all is ok

    Hey everyone.

Im good today- just so tired, I really should have an early night today!!

ilovelondontown- Its so difficult isnt it deciding whether to put things off or not. I think if I come off the pill start of Sept then we may go for a NTNP until January- then if we do decide to make plans I wouldnt be heavily pregnant (Lol a comment has already been made about how I can be designated for certain plans if I pregnant by the time they come round!!). I am also aware it could take me a long time to get pregnant so thats why Im worried about putting my life on hold!

Good luck Caz2003uk for having your implant out.

VickyVics- hugs and hope you have a period soon.

Hope everyone else has had a good day.

    Good afternoon peeps,

Today has been a good day. I'm sat waiting until the time I can leave for Slimming World. I have weigh in soon and I have everything crossed that I have lost something...anything. I have 3.5lb until target and since getting married I havent seemed to have the motivation to lose it...to happy maybe to care???

Also had confirmation that the decorator will be coming Monday so the hallway and stairs will soon be decorated. This means we will soo have some semblance of organisation. Can't wait.

caz2003uk Hope the implant removal went well today and it isn't too uncomfortable or hurting too much.

Hope everyone is having a good day today
