    Hi All,
I'm loving the tenuous (sp?) links to keep the subject to do with TTC!! making me lol! :rotfl:
Sorry FAM, I don't know about nappy expiry dates..I'm impressed with your organisation, unfortunately I've been bought up the silly supersticious way so won't bring anything "baby" into the house until it's happening..I even said no to some free maternity clothes this week from a friend of mine because it might be bad luck..! Totally rediculous, I know :o
My Tommys book about preparing for pregnancy arrived yesterday, it is great-so informative, thank you so much to whoever it was who gave the link..I can't remember who it was, sorry.
I only have 1 week of pills left, then that's it..start getting my body back into its natural rhythm. I'm actually quite scared, it makes the baby thing seem alot more real, and I've also been on the pill pretty much constantly for nearly half my life, so I'm not sure what it's going to be like not taking it!!
See you on the facebook page hopefully! x
    Hi Magicboo!
thanks for reply. i was brought up the same way - you cant buy any baby things until you are 8 months and so on but i am way to excited and plus i cant pass on a good deal and boy do i love getting free stuff! i even got a pelvic floor exercises dvd (free) for after the birth (i know its crazy i might not even need it if have a c-section) but i cant help it.
  • Hi FAM

    TTC - trying to conceive

I'm considering collecting bits and bobs now too even though we won't be TTC until January - although had to stop myself buying a gorgeous pram/pushchair a couple of weeks ago at a carboot - though that ould be ever so slightly premature! :o

    Hi Triange!

i know exactly what you mean about getting stuff too early, i keep going on eBay looking for prams and cots etc and see something going cheap and have to stop myself from bidding on it.
hopefully i will be debt free before i know it and the 2 years fly by so i can put all my freebies to good use!

soz that the message looks odd im still trying to work out how to quote other messages without quoting the whole lot..

Do any of you who are waiting to start trying started collecting bits and bobs for the new arrival in the future? i have started collecting freebies and joined loads of baby clubs but if im not going to start trying for a couple of years do you think its too early? silly question - do nappies have an expiry date? i have a few samples at home but dont know if its worth keeping them?
    Many thanks!
They do have an expiry date, cos of the chemicals in them, they start to degrade. Not sure how long "life" they have on them though, you'd have to check the packet.

Never too early or late to do kegels (pelvic floor exercises) and help with your bladder and all sorts too ;) You'd still need them regardless of a C section cos of the weight of the bubs on the pelvic area, afaik :)

Oh, and yes, I was collecting a few bits here and there and leaving them in the garage. I've since found out I've got PCOS though, so I've stopped doing that cos it's just too emotive seeing anything like that now.:o Sis has (her kids' old) cot awaiting in her garage though ;) And a pushchair too IIRC... ;) Her MIL is the kind to pass me on handmedowns from her friends/friends kids etc though - and she knows some well-off folk, so I'm not too worried ;)

Either put (without the spaces I'm putting in so you can see the code) [ quote] before the text you're showing as a quote and then [/ quote] at the end of the bit you're quoting, or highlight the text and click the button that looks like a speech bubble above your reply box ;)

    PCOS: PolyCycstic Ovarian Syndrome
If you want detail feel free to Google, but essentially it's likely to be harder for me (and anyone else with PCOS) to get pregnant, and there's a higher miscarriage (MC) rate associated with PCOS.:o

    :T well done :D

Btw, was it the lass in Kenya that was asking how the Tommy's books arrive? Mine came yesterday (which I thought was really quick!!) and they just came in a plain white jiffy-type envelope - completely innocuous :)
