  • my pill runs out in december my aim is to have the debt paid by then. if not OH will use condoms while we're still paying the debt off and my body gets back to normal.

You raise an interesting point... after finishing your packet of pills is it ok to just start trying or is it better to wait for your body to regulate itself again? Any experienced posters have an answer?

    Hi
I had my mirena coil removed around 2 weeks ago. I didn't have any periods for the 3 years it was in, so I asked my DR should I wait until I get a regular cycle b4 I start ttc. I had read online, that you are more likely to miscarry if you fail pregnant b4 a regular period. DR said this is nonsense.
We aren't using contraception at the minute, and I haven't had a bleed yet, so will have to wait & see really.
  • So did test and got a bfn :(, oh well a few more months to prepare and i can enjoy my holiday more next montn :o.
I decided to use condoms for the next few months since stopping my pill, to regulate my cycle as hadnt had a period for a while. This was more so it would be easier to date a bfp!

    Hic xx

  • I think it would be personal choice. we will prob just see how we feel once the pills finished, and how much debt we have left, one family member of my partners came off the depo and 6 months later after only seeing her periods for the last 3 months which were really irregular is now pregnant, but another family member of his came off the depo and it took 18 months to see her first period and a futher two years to fall pregnant,
but as you said... (head in clouds) it would be easier to date a postive test if cycles were regular. but then again some doctors will send you for an early dating scan if your not sure. my doctor did this when i was pregnant with my son. i had a phone call off my dr to say i will be having a scan 4 days after i went to see him, i was only 6 weeks and 4 days at the scan, but then again im not sure if they do this anymore as its been over 4 years since i found out i was pregnant and they are always changing how they do things xxx

bazzi - thats great :) yea i like to look at the positive side too.

and this weeks positive...im going to try and get into this drop in clinic this thursday i think, since i now know where to go, woo :)

think you guys are right, theres no real issues to getting pg right away but its easier to date if uve had a cycle first. but then again digi tests can usually date it for you anyway these days!

    Hello All!

Monday again! How did that happen?? lol

Did a bit of shopping at the weekend (thank you H&M!), and we went to see Expendables 2! Really good film. Had us laughing a lot :)

Bazzi - It doesn't sound like a healthy relationship at all, but unfortunately there isn't much that you can do, other than what you already are doing (avoiding saying bad things about him and being there for her). The more people point out his flaws, the more defensive she will become of the relationship (as she will most likely see it as a reflection on her). It's frustrating, and quite painful to watch at times, I know. And there are some women who do just like to have someone else tell them what to do. Weird as that sounds. Hopefully, in time, she'll come round and break free from the loser (fingers crossed!).

I don't think it matters TTC-wise, it's just easier to date if you know when your last 'proper' period was. But we went for it (not successfully I hasten to add!). Totally up to you!

TBH if I'd waited for my body to sort itself out, I may still be waiting! I think it takes a few months to get used to what's normal for you as well as for your body to settle. Everyone is different though!

Oh dear my pre-emptive moneysaving urge is out of control.

Im not planning on TTC yet until Jan and when I see baby bargains I feel the need to buy in the interest of saving money in the future!!

I did manage to stop myself as I didnt want to tempt fate but it was hard not to when there was a box of over 100 Active Fit size 3's for £6!

I do actually already have about four packs of nappies in the loft which I bought when on offer for DS2 but just couldnt manage to squeeze him into any longer!
