Shame about the job Fran-O, but great news about NTNP and that your first period, post pill, has arrived!
I'm still not doing too well healthwise. Sharp, severe pains in right side of chest. Thought it was a pulled muscle from coughing at first, but it hasn't got any better. HUrts to breathe, cough, move, sneeze etc. Saw the doc yesterday, who said my lungs were clear, but she could hear my heart on the right side of my body, which isn't normal. This made her concerned that the lung had collapsed, so she sent me for an x-ray. Hosp said the lung isn't collapsed, but to ask for the full results from the doctor tomorrow.
So, still no closer to knowing the reason for the pain, but hopefully tomorrow the full x-ray results will give me some answers.
On the TTC front, OH has been really pushing his work to get his contract sorted recently. Since our last chat actually. He went over his Manager and HR persons heads, to the European HR person, who promised action but nothing happened. Their latest reason is that the NL HR person is sick. That's fine, we understand, but surely HR work should still be able to continue in his absence???? So, yesterday he went to the general manager of Europe and had a good, 2 hour long chat with him about his contract, his work and where he wants to head.
So, now he's been promised that his contract will, absolutely, definitely be sorted in the next 2 weeks and was asked to put his trust back in them again. Unfortunately, try as we both might, it's a little hard to believe. So, we'll wait and see. After this, he'll be going to US HR people (who tend to be a lot more on the ball in his company), and has warned his colleagues that that is the only option he has left if it isn't resolved. That is something that his colleagues really don't want, as the US have the power, and the tendancy, to come down very, very hard on these sort of f'ck ups.
So, watch this space ladies.
I hope you are all well!

I will BZ! He has an appt today with his manager and the HR guy to discuss the contract offer. We don't know yet if he will be given a contract today to review, and sign (if he's happy with it), or if it will just be more stalling, sorry discussions.
Will keep you posted.
