Recent CitiBank Applicant?

Well I sent back my forms on thursday or friday and rang yesterday and it seems they have my application and have only got as far as scanning it. Thought I'd leave it a couple of days before ringing back again so will call them tonight

I've told my boyfriend about them too and he shoudl have his forms soon

Hi, have been looking at this for a while now, so thought i would join in!

I posted my application to them last thurs night, and have not heard anything yet - so i called them just now. They said that it hasnt been scanned yet, so need to give it a day or two.

I wasnt able to send a cheque, so i sent a letter explaining (as asked) and a recent bill. I think they will come back to me and ask for more details, and id etc. Was silly really, should have sent a copy of my passport. Oh well!

I was turned down for a basic bank account last year, because (i think) i already have an account with Halifax, and has my ex g/fs name on still, but they wont remove her name until the o/d is paid off! Hence me wanting to open a new account.

I have 1 CCJ that is paid (no letter of satisfaction though) and various defaults.

Not sure that i will get the account anyway, but am dying to find out! Only time will tell i guess, but i am not the most patient person in the world! haha

Anyway, for those that are interested i will keep you updated!

I am sure you will get this if you only have 1 CCJ
I have and I'm a discharged bankrupt with the most horrendous credit files ever.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you anyway.
Can't wait till I get home so I can cheque my mail.:j

Yipppeee I got the account today, I am soo excited about having the account.

May I thank everyone that has helped me along the way. A huge Thank you to Dexters Mum and Computerwomen.

Dexters Mum provided a superb quide on Page 12 of this thread which rellay helped me and many others.

Computerwomen has been so supportive too me and all the other users of this forum.

My dates - I recieved the paper application on the 17th of Jan - Got the Welcome letter and pin number today - That quick 17th started - 31st got details

I have read the threads and I'm wondering how bad a credit citibank will accept. Mine has 3CCJs and 2 defaults I'm really desperate for this account if available. Anybody with this bad a credit history been fortunate enough to open an account?

My credit history is shocking to be honest, I have several defaults and had no problem getting this account. I have read on this site that people on this site getting the account and they have IVA's. I would apply for the account and I am confident that you will get it. Just make sure that you supply all the information they need.

I got the account and I'm a discharged bankrupt since Feb 2006
When I got home I had a letter saying my account had been opened and saying welcome but it didn't say what card I will have, all it mentioned was they had written to my bank to get a list of direct debits etc. as I had gone for the full bank transfer.
Do you think I will definately get the debit card as this was the main reason I opened the account as all I got with my Nationwide account was a cashcard.
I will keep you all informed anyway.

When you recieved the welcome letter did it not tell you what will happen next?

Should read below your name and address. You card has been posted and will be with you soon, if you don't recieve soon please call us.

If you have the account details that say you have been accepted which you have, then I see NO reason why you should not get a card. In fact they would not have gave you the account details if you where not getting the card as the card is part of the account.
