  • There must be a fly in the ointment, somewhere.

I presume, like all other banks, Citibank levies penalty charges for being over the limit, bounced DDs, etc. Is their list of (penalty) charges on the high or low side? Are they as ruthless as other banks to apply those? Couldn’t find anything about charges on the web-site.

I wonder, in three or six months time, will we have threads about “Greedy Citibank” in this forum here?
  • Come on peeps, I don't want the application to time out...... Cheers[/quot

go through quidco with your friends name and earn her £50 also get a name off here with an account to recommend as a friend and they both get 6 bottles of wine each,

as for citibank can I marry them I just got my 3 pins this morning, I'm chuffed to bits if I could I'd run round the house shouting yippee as it is I'll have to spin my wheelchair. This means I don't have to rely on my sons card anymore for internet shopping, stupid barclays and hsbc refused me on a technicallity well you've just lost my business for good, thanks sgx.saint your a star thankyou thankyou thankyou.

Thanks CW, I submitted earlier, so I missed out.. People kept mentioning this 'QuidCo' so i whacked that in the promotions for offers box... ahaha....

I applied for a citibank current account WITH the overdraft facility, i have a bank default from 2 years ago but other than that no adverse credit and several very well maintained accounts,

I recieved my payslips + telewest bill back on saturday,

What appears in the post this morning? My pins!

I take it the fact their issuing me pin numbers is confirmation of my account opening with them?

After being flatly refused by halifax and A&L then i must say citi seem to be a god send!

And id never even heard of them before reading here so thanks ever so much!

This is going to be my parachute account for when FD close my account for wanting my £1k in charges back.
  • well I dont understand it either, I've not missed a DD for years so have no bank charges to claim back, barclays bank manager a very nice man said if it were up to him he'd give me the best account they had as I manage my in's and out's very professionally, probably because I've been on a business course (profit and loss) but still they could'nt help me, this has given me a real boost to my moral, having been knocked back for the passed 5 year's I've been with barclays since 1993 but foulled up on a DD the only one I had back then, with the tv licence, my sister had just died and I did'nt remember it, and they shut my current account down, and took away all my privelliges (cheque book and card) which at the time I did'nt think I'd need, but now I really need one for internet shopping, this citibank is a godsend, I'm going to have all my DD's coming out of it and all my money going in every month, I wonder what the other banks will think with us all jumping ship, I'll keep my barclays and hsbc cashcard accounts open just as a fall back, but I don't suppose I'll be using them much in the future.

  • Well I worked out why I have'nt been getting eccepted by other banks, I'm not on the electrol register, well I am, just not on the public one, as I always tick the box saying I want to remain private, so when people look me up, I'm not here, although I have got my 3 pins today, and I've got my computer back up and running, I'm feeling rather chuffed with myself, the offers of wine take 28 days to come, and the cards usually follow the pins after a day or so,
anyway I'm off to bed soon, night night
