"It takes a minimum of 10 days to transfer money in/out"
I really don't understand this - I've only moved money in so far, so moving out may take longer I suppose, but moving in takes three days, same as most other transfers.0 -
I think it's just you. I am not too happy with Icesave, find them slow to move money in and out and their website is certainly not as user friendly as Ing. Better rate though.
I did say most, are you still having withdrawal problems with them, mine take about 3 days if I do it early in the morning otherwise aboiut 4 days. I like their site better than ing, although the number pad is a good idea stops key loggers I imagine, still have some money with them not much mind.

Withdrawing money from my Icesave account to my Cahoot account takes two days 75% of the time, otherwise three days. I think that is very good performance, but it seems people's experience varies.0

This is really in response to Tomasso46's problems with a dial-up connection to the IceSave website, but it might be of help in general.
IceSave are using aspx to build their web pages. When a page is being built, its controls are sequentially downloaded and activated. On a dial-up connection this can take quite some time when their server is busy (as it is at the moment). If a user clicks the 'continue' or 'next' button before the page has been completely downloaded, this click appears to be lost to the system, but the 'continue' or 'next' button is meanwhile disabled, thereby preventing another click. As a result the system just sits there waiting and then logs you out after ten minutes of inactivity. To get around this problem, it is essential to wait for the 'done' status to appear in the status bar at the bottom of your browser. If you inadvertently click 'continue' or 'next' before the page has been fully composed, then it is necessary to click your browser's 'Back' button to reload the page.
I have e-mailed the IceSave customer service people about this problem, but as yet have not received a reply.
This is really a poor point in the design of their Transaction Wizard and hopefully they will fix it, even if they just change the loading order of their page controls, to ensure that the 'continue' or 'next' button is the last item to be downloaded and activated.
Don't be too hard on the CS people at the front desk, as they have to get their feedback from the IT department and usually IT depts. are famous for their complete lack of customer service training.
Hope this saves you some frustration.0 -

(Thankfully I don't have any caps on my dial-up account - it's online 24x7 except when I have a power cut, forget to feed the electric meter or there's a problem with the telephone line.)Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Fair enough... Infact i have to repair a dialup connection tonight.
Well if you do ever move then try Broadband and if your a low user then you can go on monthly contracts with PlusNet (£9.99 pm).
To bring this back onto topic if you move to DSL you should not have problems again...0 -
I thought was a good move to invest my money into icesave but I was wrong have to pay to take the money out so I close off the account by telephone. Then they ring me up saying write down in letter to close off my account how wierd is that!. :mad:0
