As I mentioned in the other thread on ICESAVE at the moment, I've also been having problems with logging in or it hanging once I've managed to log in. I've never had these sort of problems with logging into online accounts and I am seriously thinking about closing the account.0 -

Do I hear cries of "come back ICICI, all is forgiven"?0

Deleted_User wrote:Ditto. The worrying irony is, if you cannot access the website, raise anyone on the phone, or elicit a response to email, how do you propose to close the account?
Luckily I initiated a transfer of the available balance on the one occasion I could get in ok recently. However I have some funds which have only recently gone in which I cannot withdraw right now. Guess I will have to keep trying when I can get back in. :mad:0 -
Hi,
I opened ICESAVE account. Everything went fine, account opened and deposit credited. Now I have sent a direct debit form to set-up link account to my savings. It's over 3 weeks now but no news.
How long ICESAVE takes to setup to DD?
Thanks

Following more difficulties accessing their online banking I have requested a withdrawal of the remaining balance on my account, and because it is now below the minimum balance, requested the account closure as part of the withdrawal.
I just don't find it acceptable to have so many difficulties accessing my own money when I have never had any problems with other banks.
If people's experiences on this site improve in the future I my consider re-opening an icesave account but until then I will either have my money in a YBS Internet Saver or a Birmingham Midshires account.0 -
I have never had a problem with accessing icesave and am now saving the max that I want to keep in any one bank. I have made several deposits either by pushing or pulling and have also made a couple of removals
I have just opened another account now at 5.46% (northern rock silver saver online) http://www.northernrock.co.uk/html/redirection/savings_rates.htm
and will start to save in that one, leaving the icesave account to grow0 -

Have you tried this morning, Kittie? If it was successful then you have been lucky. They're having yet further technical problems and proceeding from initial log in page is impossible. They confirmed this by 'phone when I contacted them earlier (3 minute wait), the CS rep. did 'phone me back though as promised, so full marks to him.0 -
Hi
Must be intermittent, it's fine now.0
