I am with icici and ice save. I have many problems with icici but have not encountered any problem with ice save. I am dismayed that ice save is starting to get negative reviews. Thank god i have more of my money in birmingham midshires which is trouble free.0

People who want an understanding of what it is they're actually applying for.
I can't fault Icesave so far. Yes their account has restrictions that may not be suitable for some (pull rather than push etc). But reading the T&C will tell you that...
My application wasn't straight-forward as I'm not from the UK originally but I've never had to wait more than 3 or 4 mins on hold when calling them and the operator has always been helpful, even when the problem clearly deviates from their script.0 -
I applied for an Icesave account after it was mentioned in a Money Saving Tips email. I set up the DD to my currect account. I made transfers each way to test and have since made the Icesave account my main savings account. No problems at all. All transactions have proceeded promptly and without problems.0

Maybe Martin should set up a poll for what people think of Icesave's service so far like he did for ICICI?"The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0

I have not had any problems with them - on the odd time I have needed to speak to them, the service has been fine,:jThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

No problems. I emailed them asking how to confirm that my interest was gross. Had an email back promptly that it was and a letter confirming it as well. I have pulled money in to my account by DD with no problem.0

I've not had any problems with them and prompt service when I opened the account.MFW predicted end date: was 6.1.2026, now 3.3.20190

No problems for me so far. Fast account setup. My DD is now setup and I'm about to use it to transfer some money to them. Once the money hits my current account from ING.0

No problems here either.

The only complaint I have with Icesave is that they were a bit slow in setting up things. But nothing major or worrying.
And to the people who have 'missed' the DD part of the online application: how did you think the account could work without it? That is a fundamental part of any online application. And was the same for ING which works in a very similar way. It is strange that someone might miss it alltogheter or think it is optional.
In any case: why don't you try to explain it to ICESAVE customer services? After all if it is possible to amend the DD you set initially (and add up to three) I do not see the reasons why it should not be possible to add your first DD mandate now that you are identified (so even more trustworthy than at application time)!0
