what do you mean "still"?
See my earlier post for why some people choose to stay on dialup. (Which of course, ignores those that have no choice.)
Your post comes across as requiring everyone to ditch it post-haste.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
you missed my little joke.
Actually I am one of the ones who stays on dial-up because I prefer it. There is very little reason indeed why I would want broadband. And any time i need a fast connection (e.g. to download something big) I have one at the office.
Over and out and totally off topic, now back to discussing IceSave.:p:p:p:p

Here is the 'geographical' phone no. for Ice Save. Cheaper than 0845
0191 2558377

Incorrect. Unless you live in the local area of 0191 (which I assume is Newcastle upon Tyne), a STD code is not cheaper than a local call 0845 - which are charged at the local rate regardless of where you dial from. You are confusing that with a 0870 rate.0 -
Not had any major problems at all. Of course you need to set-up a DD, anyone opening account should read the details, it's an on-line account, other than the first opening payment, how do you think you could pay in?!
All the details for DD and extra costed CHAP movements are well documented, things are only a "surprise" or "shock" if you didn't read the T+Cs. If I was opening an account on-line, reading the T+Cs in detail before I opened it, would be my first port of call. And if you don't then really, what do you expect?
The details of the account have been covered in detail on these forums before. If in doubt, do a search.
Had no problem at all moving funds, the account is excellent from my perspective.
I wouldn't hesistate to recommend the account.0 -

As a lot of people are on inclusive rates for calls an 0191 call is free whereas 0845 and all non-geographical numbers are not included. It is very helpful when people post the geographical number0 -

Off topic but to clear things up
Since BT moved almost everyone onto their BT together tarif, national and local calls cost the same (3.25p per minute + 6p call set up). However, as lolly5648 and sav4it say, many many people have inclusive calls packages which means calls to geographical numbers are free. Others use indirect services like 18185 (0p per minute + 5p call set up). These are all much cheaper than 0845.
Also, 0845 is not local rate but lo-call rate.0
