Evening all, Bit of advice needed on this one.
My husband, the brave soul, tried for his first RR today but failed. He found one wrongly priced Palin Diaries amongst a shelf of wrongly priced £12.97 ones. He bought it and took it to CS who said kids must have swapped it around and refused to even give him a pound. He got a refund and gave it back to them. I personally would have argues more but where do you stand on this?
I phoned up CS when he got home and they told me that a lot of children are swapping tickets and it is not their fault!!
Would love some tips on this to fight them with next time.
My poor husband though, he was so disappointed. He doesn't do arguing outside of the house.
I have argued over 10p difference in chicken for over an hour and had secuirty ask for assistance!!

It is uncanny reading that as this is exactly what happened to my partner tonight - although he argued and they wouldn't budge! The book had a label for £8.96, while all the others showed £12.96 - and the SEL showed £9.96. The £8.96 was the front copy too, but they insisted that 'other' customers had swapped the label, and they were not responsible for that...wont chase it up as others have said because its not worth it for a £12 book. It just annoys me that we have had no problems with printers/dvds etc, yet a cheapy book causes them to dig their heels in!
They had the Guinness Book of Records with stickers of £8.96 on, but the SEL said £8 - would people bother trying?

edit - now found the post about book of records, apparently scanning at £8 so not worth doing.

Why not employ more staff working more often then?

Don't think I saw this on my travels today although now i'm tempted to go & check again in case I missed the chance of free alcohol  But maybe 3 separate outings which takes in 4 different stores could be considered obsessive !

I would not call this obsessive. I would say you are letting Tesco off the hook and need to be visiting many more stores than this!!!

For the same reason every checkout is not open 24/7, or every aisle is not being filled constantly.

Can't understand why they would do that - would be easier to remove the sel.
All removed from the shelves in mine, went ready to buy 6 bottles so i could get my discount and get away with 6 but sadly it seems my store is suddenly on the ball and remove the whole shelf load of anything mentioned on this forum

Given how much wine has sold since the 25% started, far more likely they have sold out. Or have it, but can not get it on the shelf quick enough. As bb says, makes no sense to remove the item and not just the SEL.

I could see your response before I clicked submit; however this is a different matter.

There surely aren't double the price changes than when I was working so employing another person (or two) would surely be cheaper than giving away £1,500 TVs?

Plus, it's not a £2,000 fine for each till not open.

I have no idea when you worked in FMC, so can not say if there are more changes now. I do know that recently large Extra's were hitting up to seven thousand on peak days - how does that compare?

Its not a £2k fine for each miss price, either. That is only if TS prosecutes (and wins). Does not appear to happen all that often.

Lastly, a big chunk of the miss prices that crop up are nothing to do with FMC/PID. Extra resource would not help.

Edit....erm....totally off topic :o Anyone got any knowledge on home networks that would not object to a PM? I need to get some tunes from my desktop to my laptop and am a bit stumped...
