Maybe we should coordinate. I had a similar experience, and despite writing to them special delivery they have faied to respond. They have till Monday and it will be a small claim. All the storiesd they span you were identical to mine.

TBH I am seriously considering getting in touch with the tabloids. What with all the mispricing, they way they treat customers, and then banning honest customers that ask for what they are due in line with their policy. The freebies are noce but having seen, and experienced how they treat people it is time they were brought to account.

Personally i hope you DO - I think this will be the only way the refund policy will be changed to come in line with the policies of JS, ASDA etc, - With negative press around the policy im sure it will make Tesco continue with their current plans of reviewing/changing the policy

  • Clubcard points are not removed when you take a product back for a refund.

So I ask how they can find r&r-ers with clubcards? If they dont take the points off, dont keep the reciept and dont take down your clubcard number there is no way of using you clubcard to identify people.

Hubby is soooooooooo happy. A money saving trip that cost him nothing and he reaps the benefits:rotfl:

2 cases of 20 cans of 440ml Fosters lager. Went through at full price total of £19.98...........HUGE hanging sign stating 2 cases for £16.00

Cheers:beer: and thanks to whoever mentioned this one....I will try and trawl back through the posts to find the originator and press the thanks button

All the information at the very bottom of the original reciept is recorded.

Thats rubbish. If Tesco recieve bad publicity due to poor customer service the only thing they will have to defend themselves will be the policy. They will use it to highlight the fact that customer service is of paramount impotance to them. If someone goes to the tabloids the policy will never be removed.

    So lets hope someone does!:j

To give you an idea, all overcharge refunds should be investigated. This can involve pulling off a duplicate copy of the receipt with your refund on it....this will also show the clubcard number that was used.

Stores have no access to information regarding clubcard however certain departments do have the access and therefore r&r's can be traced......

The barcode only gets printed on a reciept if you havent used your clubcard. If you have there is no barcode.
Actually, at the bottom of the receipt, you'll find the following:

date time store number till number(?) operator number transaction number.

    so:

    13/12/06 14:23 3653 007 2003 2536

In other words, the CSD doesn't need your CC number when you go to get a refund, as the transaction number is on the receipt. If they pull up the transaction, they can get your CC number, along with your personal details and stuff you've bought in that specific store.

HO sometimes ask for a receipt before they process your claim. If you used ur Clubcard, they've got you! From then on in it must get simpler for them - if your list of transactions involves all the 'popular' Rnr items, it doesn't take a genius to work out what your game is ....

Thanks MUNT, enforced absence due to internet problems, hopefully all sorted now though!

I really cant be bothered to read the preceeding 50+ pages of "How can i get an xbox" and "thats stealing that is" or "What does SEL stand for" so i shall simply read from this point onwards!! I am sure i havent missed much!
