Have long have u been an R&R'r?

I had 1800 points in October
When I got my clubcard statement a few weeks later for the quarter it went down to 600 points.

somebody asked what the 1p overcharge was for - it is a Epson printer
SEL expired 5/12/06 = £69-96, scans at £69-97. lets call that my first contribution as a potential R&R find. I have a feeling that I will not get any success with it though....If anyone else gets any joy with this item , please let me know.

Thanks for the info - Item added to the internal host and e-mail;)

Don't have a clubcard myself :D but surely when you present your clubard at the till, it prints the clubcard number on the receipt?

Yes but you keep your reciept they dont and they dont make a copy of it so it doesnt matter if your number is printed on the reciept or not.

Oh I keep reading on here how people don't use there clubcards because it is how they get earmarked by Tesco. I do not understand this.

You buy the product and give the checkout assistant your clubcard. Tesco record the fact that you have brought the product, lets say a DVD. The only way Tesco will know you have then gained an r&r is if you give them your clubcard when they give you the refund so they take the points off. If they don't do this the Tesco database will only record the fact you have brought a DVD, it has no way of knowing you then got a refund on it.

I have only had about 10 r&r's in about 5 stores but I have never had my clubcard points taken off. I have never even given cs my clubcard. Have the people who have been banned or worried about it had there points taken off? Is it Tesco policy to take the points off? I thought they let you keep the points as it was there mistake. I was just a little confused as I have never had my points taken off.

I just completed my first R&R and they didnt take my points off me! Huzzah!

I think there is a barcode at the bottom of the receipt, and they scan it in. Not 100% sure but think this would be how they do it

Clubcard points are not removed when you take a product back for a refund.

BigJohnnyB contact your local trading standards, and provide them with the evidence you have posted on here, and ask what they are prepared to do.

Maybe we should coordinate. I had a similar experience, and despite writing to them special delivery they have faied to respond. They have till Monday and it will be a small claim. All the storiesd they span you were identical to mine.

TBH I am seriously considering getting in touch with the tabloids. What with all the mispricing, they way they treat customers, and then banning honest customers that ask for what they are due in line with their policy. The freebies are noce but having seen, and experienced how they treat people it is time they were brought to account.

The barcode only gets printed on a reciept if you havent used your clubcard. If you have there is no barcode.
