They must have been flipping big receipts if it took a lorry to shift just 4 of them!

this is our main problem area and which we get the most abuse from customers over.

our stores policy is also to only return sealed items for refund or exchange whether sold like or not cause of copyright.

although we will exchange any dvd, cd that is sealed whether have receipt or not.

this is gonn abe our problem area after christmas cant wait. not.lol

Hi as a newbie and spelling not my best forte:p and also not picking on anyone in particular but as for some cds, dvds and games they are not allways sealed the frist place as i have brought a few in the passed, i bet if you check the stock in your stores you will see this too and this idear of only giving a refund and exchange would not be fair surely?

What annoys me most with the stores that sell unsealed games/DVDs etc is the fact that most of the stores around here have the empty cases in those security boxes anyway and they also have one of those tags stuck inside them!

Or they have the really naff looking photocopies (wonder if that is legal or breach of copyright?) in the cases. That really does look cheap and nasty, still, I guess this is Tescos we're talking about.

I guess that works id much prefer to think id dealt with a genuine 'case' rather than the customer to tell me they got their information from here - That only puts my back up and makes me want to ensure you have as much difficulty in obtaining an r+r in the future as possible - That may sound blunt but again thats just my view so sorry if it seems harsh.

You fool.People like you and other arrogant CS staff get my back up.
It is your precious employer that is ripping people off day in day out.So a few go to your store and get deliberate R&R's from info they have on here.SO WHAT,doe's it come out of your pocket?or are you one of these always on their knees when the big bosses are around who wants to climb the ladder?.
If there is a way you can let me know which store you work in I will gladly come and see what happens when I come and get a DELIBERATE R&R.

(IF you and your company did they job properly in the first place, there would be no people deliberately getting R&R's,no forums,no threads,so thank your own team for anything that follows ;))

I agree withe everybody but ........

If I see something (without looking too hard) that is wrongly priced and I or someone I know will use it then I will get some. I don't kick the backside out of it but I'll probably get a couple of the items.
I see nothing wrong with this. You also have to appreciate that CS people are the same as us, good days, bad days, nice people or plonkers this is life and not restricted to Tescos. I've only R&R'd in the one store and although the same band of people would appear to be on CS they all differ. Some are really nice, some are really nice even though they know your trying it on, so just lighten up and go with the flow.

Saying that I got a bit mad on Sunday when I found a missprice as the guy kept me and the misses waiting for about 20 minutes and then made some snide remarks as we left. I swear had I been by myself I would have gone in and got some more. Mainly because he had been to the missprice and said I must have got the only two packs, to which I replied there was a full section, to which he replied people must have them in their trollies then (gave me the impression this meant they would be paying the wrong price so sod em).
Here endeth the lesson try and be nice to each other, especially if you are a CS person for Tescos.
  • Stores are taking their own action on a store by store basis i guess after reading your post. Everyday a host message is sent to the store account and an e-mail to the SMs account detailing all products listed on this (and other) sites. Im sure this is a temporary measure until replacement lables are printed off showing the correct scanning price.....In the meantime you can always use the price check scanners;)

Oh if only, there are 3 price scanners in my local store and none of them work. They are all switched on but it is impossible to scan a blimming thing. What do you suggest I do now, oh I know I can take all the items without a price to the checkout with me and ask them to scan them. That should hold up a till for the best part of an hour!!!
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

I must admit, if I ever get a hard time from CS staff or managers, then I do my best to R&R the trolley off of their stores.

One store gave me a load of hassle/lies/intimidation over an R&R on a console, when I got the console I noticed a few other fairly high value R&Rs in the same store but decided to just go for the console. When I got all the grief from CS I was determined to hit them as hard as possible in return for wasting my time.

I got the R&R after talking to HO and went back in to pick up my refund, used almost all of the money I was refunded on more R&Rs (ones they couldnt get out of)

Yeah my cards are now marked at that store, but for me it was worth it to see the look on the managers face as he gave me £200+ twice in a row and I walked out of the shop with over £400 worth of stuff.

If managers give it the smug "I'm better than you" routine, I do my best to prove them wrong.

If the CS experience goes smoothly with no hassle, I dont take the mick with the R&Rs.

I know the managers and CS staff are just doing their job, but their job should be to follow company policy, not make stuff up on the spot, wriggle out of company policy, lie, intimidate and generally make an a£se of themselves.

EDIT: I must also admit that I do agree with Tescoemployee on one thing, if someone who is trying to get an R&R is stupid enough to metion they saw it on here, they deserve to be given grief. Whether the CS staff think you are trying it on or not (however obvious it may be) saying you saw the misprice on here is the single most stupidest thing you could do when R&Ring (besides headbutting a manager or something)

Cue multiple occurrences of Zinedine Zidane like 'tackles' all across the country :rotfl:

Yes mentioning that misprice information has been gleaned from this site is certainly not something that I would ever do and I'd certainly dissuade people from doing so themselves. However, in principle, it really shouldn't matter where the information came from - this site is simply another form of open communication. It's a public forum and can be readily accessed by anyone who wishes to do so, including Tesco. If a misprice is posted there is nothing to stop Tesco immediately acting on the information, and it has been established in recent weeks that to some extent this is taking place.

I do think that boasting about the forum is well over the top though - unfortunately in all walks of life you get plonkers.

I agree, Tesco CS staff are employed to be pleasant to the customer (hence the job title). They have no right to treat people disrespectfully when they have been overcharged. If I was made to feel uncomfortable by a CS person when getting a (deliberate) refund then like the guy above I would make sure I found a high value one next time that they had no way out of.

Eveybody is overcharged by Tesco, but very few people realise it.

Tesco know what they are doing, their obscene profit is handsomely boosted by overcharging EVERYONE at some point.

I will continue to actively look for and claim rnr's from them as my little protest.

Oh, and I pass on the tips to all my friends etc.

ps thanks for the xbox360 Tesco
