Hmmmm it's probably best not to give him ideas like this! :rotfl:0 -

It would seem that different stores use their own policy on the refund of Entertainment items (CDs, DVDs etc,) - In the store im in we only accept sealed items, with a valid reciept within the 4 week period. If the title is faulty we exchange it for the same title only and if the customer say's it was a duplicate gift etc, we either try to trace the original transaction if possible or exchange the title if it is still sealed.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

dont over do it.
we always know when people are doing it on purpose esp is they come with 10 packs of pork chops or 5 dvds the same. just so obvious and sets alarm bells ringing straight away.
you are best to keep a low profile and not go over the top. last thing you want to do is be noticed and remembered.
3 customers are banned from my store due to being 'greedy' (ie: 5 copies of the same DVD etc,) - As stated above this will cause you confrontation with the DM, Your details being hosted to local stores and a possible ban.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

this is our main problem area and which we get the most abuse from customers over.
our stores policy is also to only return sealed items for refund or exchange whether sold like or not cause of copyright.
although we will exchange any dvd, cd that is sealed whether have receipt or not.

Its nice knowing I usually blow their weekly budget in one trip!
Diffrent stores have different budgets - This depends on the size of the store and the Non Food offering, This gets discussed in the weekly meeting but apart from that H/O don't come down too hard on stores who exceed their budget - The only result of this information at the store im at was extra investment into PI was made which resulted in our lowest r+r figures for over 6 monthsStand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

This is a problem every year but if im called to the CSD i stick to the policy as per displayed at the CSD and on the Entertainments deaprtment, I do however allow customers who are out of the 4 week time frame still exchange the product as long as they have a reciept, the product is sealed etc, as im not going to penalise a customer who is 3 days out of the 4 week period timeframeStand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

I wasnt store banned for being greedy.
My first was because I dared ask for an RandR on a console and game.
My second was because the meat manager said, if you phone HO and they grant you the RandR...I'll ban you........they did, so he did.
My verbal area ban came from the same guy.
My national ban............not exactly a ban.....but a letter saying I must introduce myself to the duty manager before entering to ask his permission......if I didnt , they wouldnt RandR anything from me.......?????
This was for so called abuse of their refund policy.
This all came about through using a clubcard.
I never use my clubcard now.....so no one knows who I am.Couponing....."every little hurts"

sounds liek the same thing as us then. we will exchange entertainment and clothing as long as sealed/ as sold whether have receipt or not.
