tesco employee how can you tell someone is abusing the policy(ok i understand someone getting 5 copies of the same is slightly taking the pee) but what stance does tescos have now on weekly overcharges by the same people. it was tesocs itself that encouraged r+ring with the prunella scales advert(or have they eaten their own words with that)0

i'm taking a sealed dvd back tomorrow that bought 2 months ago, have no receipt for it but have checked and it still on file so going to swap for something else that i do want.
This is what I meant earlier about giving your identity away.........
How do you know another employee from your store isnt reading this now, and sees you bring your DVD back tomorrow
Beware of explicit details like this, that you give on here
I certainly wouldnt take it back tomorrow now.

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

TescoEmployee wrote:This is a problem every year but if im called to the CSD i stick to the policy as per displayed at the CSD and on the Entertainments deaprtment, I do however allow customers who are out of the 4 week time frame still exchange the product as long as they have a reciept, the product is sealed etc, as im not going to penalise a customer who is 3 days out of the 4 week period timeframe
Surely, this isn't fair to customers who received the item as a gift. When I give people gifts I'll often tell them where it was purchased so that they can exchange it if they don't like it.
No-one ever asks for the receipt to take it back, not I'm sure because they like their pressies so much, but because they don't like admitting they hate the gift and are embarrassed to ask for the receipt.
This would now put me off buying items from Tesco and I actually feel inclined to take the ones already bought back and buy them from a retailer who will exchange them after xmas for peace of mind.0 -

Tesco brought this policy in to match those of HMV, Virgin etc, - I suggest whichever retailer your purchase your Entertainment products from you check the returns policy first as many have strict rules on the return of CDs, DVDs etc,.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

Im sure many people on this site will take what im about to say out of context but i shall certainly be watching my CSD over the next few days for returns of DVDs by staff and i'll also be looking at any OCs that occur in my store to see if they match the information posted on here. I would suggest you need to be careful if you wish to remain a Tesco employee but hey thats only MY opinion.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

is there a difference in a tesco employee taking advantage of the misprice policy and taking advantage of hsc misprices/cockups?0 -

It depends on the store and Tesco do not have a 'stance' on it - I base my descisions on the 'facts' im faced with for example when a customer over a 2 week period had something like 17 r+r's whilst boasting he got the information from this site. The result of this was the customer was banned, Information sent to H/O, Customer description sent to local stores and in-store security.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

Obviously this can be seen as gross mis-conduct as the employee could have inside information of price error's etc, and then use this to their advantage.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -
I am sure someone mentioned intempo digital radios earlier, but I can't seem to find anything...maybe I am starting to wish misprices? Anyone got any idea what these are scanning at in store?

whilst boasting he got the information from this site
eg. i bought a tv then the cs wouldnt give me a refund
because i was overcharged
then dm came then another manager was called then a big security guy came over and escorted me out of the store etc etc
i feel that any particular tesco employee can relate to that incident and descriptions can be made
thats why i dont believe in giving personal accounts on here hence stay anonyomous0
