  • Woohoo, Nice to have you on board SB.

By the way with a name like that it is likely you have met Frequent out of all of us, although I have not seen him on here much lately. LOL

He has a liking for CS ladies so beware!!
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

I've just been to Kidsgrove for a refund. Not a misprice exactly but on Saturday we bought some cheese which when we opened it tonight was mouldy. Since Kidsgrove is closer than Hanley we went there to take it back.

The young girl who is obviously not CS but was on the desk said 'can you get another one' to which I said 'I'd like a refund aswell please as I have had to make a journey here tonight.

Up rushes the manager (a nasty vile man) and says' your not having both' to which my OH says 'I think we are. you have sold faulty goods and we have had to make a journey to get here'. The grabbed the cheese and asked for my Tesco card so he could take the 3 points off LOL and made a big big show of telling the girl how to do refunds also saying 'are you sure it was bought from us'.

I then asked his name (once I had my £3.06p) and he said Nic even though his name badge says cin.

As i was walking away he asked why I wanted his name and I said its because I dont like your attitiude to which he turned to the girl and said 'see this is what I'm here for'. I turned and said 'excuse me' to which he turned away

He came out onto the car park as we were leaving and said 'byee' in a sarcastic manner and when to his own car.

I am so so annoyed. With managers like that how can Tesco even think they have good customer service.

I had to go to Asda to buy a cake to cheer myself up.:rotfl:

And you seriously think you'll get better customer service at Asda?
  • the staff know more than managers at tesco i assure you that from experience.

as for the bonus mr kennedy then you must be havin a laugh. even our christmas bonus is money off vouchers when we spend in store. !!!! really.

unfortunately the tesco policy on faulty/mouldy food is either refund or replace you dont get both like in some other stores. so you was lucky to get the cheese replaced and refunded aswell i'm afraid.

  • Sorry for being slow here folks, but am I right in thinking, that if I see a mispriced item - i should buy it, then go to Customer Services and ask for a refund AND the item?

Again sorry for being daft - but it seems too good to be true!!
  • Best off reading the first page of this thread, but you dont just go and ask like you have stated else they will know you are playing the game.

You go to CS and mention that you think you have been charged more than it said on the shelf.

Then follow the CS to the shelf to double check the price.

Then when you return to the CS desk with them they will prob try and offer you the diff.

Then say summat like "oh my mum got overcharged on some fish/meat whatever a while ago and you refunded all of the money and she got to keep the product. Is this not the policy anymore?"

You could always suddenly notice the blue board in the CS section which sets out their policy and mention it to them.

    Simple as that.
