Tesco misprice discussion area part 15

Good. About time more Tesco Employee's took notice of this site and took a more active roll in improving the Price Integrity of their stores. It is an area of store operations that is sadly overlooked by too many, imo.
If those Hosts encourage just one person to improve their store, then thats a good thing I reckon.

The point is, if tesco can't get somebody to ensure their prices are up to date and therefore are regularly breaking trading regulations (which, incedently they are NOT above!), then they should be quite happy for a member of the public who has been overcharged to bring this matter to their attention so that they can correct thelaw-breaking SEL/POS immediately and in way of thanks and compensation offer their refund and retain policy.
The fact that people ARE able to hunt r&rs down fairly regularly points to the poor priccing integrity at a lot of Tesco stores.
And this forum, should make it EVEN EASIER for tesco to maintain price integrity. The busier this site becomes with people posting overcharges, the quicker individual Tesco stores can put right the mistakes in their stores.0 -
However it does raise a valid point. I like the odd R&R, but there are now virtually professional R&R-ers using the forum. Share and share alike, but these people, and you know who you are, are making this so much more high profile than it should be. I've spotted several sub 10 pound r&r offers recently and passed on these as i want to bide my time. However the pro's would be taking them all the time. We don't want Tesco's to remove the option, so why are there some greedy so and so's taking the mickey?0

If Tesco didn't want people to 'actively search out mispriced products' it's a great shame they had a TV advertising campaign starring 'Sybil' from Fawlty Towers going round the store doing precisely that! IMHO they were inciting customers to follow suit and can hardly blame anyone here for taking them up on their offer to try and do it!“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

Thanks Tesco employee
I will now double my efforts
Its not my fault you "genuinely" overcharged me on all my champagne (bought for wedding 16 bottles), holsten ( 8 crates to fill fridge) 26 xbox games ( I like games) lots of dvds ( same) meat (gotta eat)
Its pure coincedence, and the fact that I noticed unlike the other 99 people you rip off.
Will you call them back and say "sorry, heres your money back?"
I dont think so
So I will take as much as I can get my hands on:idea: £2051.50 since Oct 25 2006Make mine a Golden £143.46

Tesco_Employee wrote:As an employee of Tesco I received a memo yesterday mentioning this website and the lengths some people will go to to take advantage of Tesco's "And if things don't add up.." promise.
The memo also contained a copy of several posts on this forum detailing items people'd managed to get R&Rs on.I'm just a bit worried that Tesco may decide to retract their policy if the loss incurred from it becomes overwhelming and people continue to actively search out mispriced products in order to get them for nothing. This would (as always) disadvantage genuine innocent customers of Tesco who were over charged due to an oversight on Tesco's part and are appreciative when they receive their R&R.However, (call me a spoil sport) but from now on I will actively check SELs to make sure they are up-to-date and correct. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. (every little helps!! :rotfl: )
ive realised that ive must have been in tescos 100's of times, and never once noticed the sign behind CS!
i'll casually investigate this on the way in tomorrow morning.
Good LuckI made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -
Whilst it would seem inevitable that Tesco consider changing their R&R policy I'm not so sure that it would be a good move for them as there are those in the media that could have a field day.
Just consider for a moment what message this sends to the general public i.e. Tesco have so many mis-prices that R&R is making a significant enough dent in their vast profits that they are having to take action? This clearly says that you can't trust Tesco when you shop. I think they are more likely to put in place a system for quicker updates of prices.
I do agree with some of the earlier posts that there are some who use this site that abuse the system to the detriment of others and are raising the profile of the site in the wrong way.
Is it possible to take some of the postings "underground" somehow? local info sharing? pms?Awaiting a new sig0 -
Morning peeps,
A few weeks ago my OH got some Moet & channdon champagne from our local Mr T store and was very pleased with himself. NONE of us drink he stuff and we were wondering what to do with it.
I phoned my local Mrs A and explained that we got it as a present (bending the truth a little ) but that we didnt have a receipt, Not a problem! She put it on a giftcard and we'll get shopping!
Not as exciting but at least we'll use it!
