ixi wrote:Well its the first time I've felt guilty about an R&R. Bought 4 packets of the famous pork chops. After briefly stepping outside I took them up to the CS desk. I showed her the SEL and she took the big yellow offer one off and we head back to the till. Her colleague then politely asks me if I could go back and take the other 2 labels off that mention £4.28.
She then refunds my money, after furious writing in her big book, then hands me my chops, then after further scanning etc, refunds my money again. At this point I say "No, you've already given me the money". "No", she says, "I have to give you this". "Erm..... OK" I say "Thanks!" and I head out the door. Very strange, and I hope she doesn't get in too much trouble for it.
Fortunately(for you) this store has adopted this policy.
Ive heard of a few stores doing this.
It may make up for the "pig headed" CS and managers that just "stubbornly" refuse you an RandR in future...........(just because they can!!)

Notice the figures in the first post ....
I'm sure these people are just following the manual.
I now realise that while we have been joyfull in getting our refunds we are actually stitched up once again by MR T.
We are obviously supposed to be getting the extra refund!!!
You realise this means the Postman may have been diddled out of around £2K cash!!
Edit Although mentioned above(from another forum)....this isnt in Tescos Terms and Conditions,, so RandRers aren't losing out as suggested.... so every one of these is a bonus.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Hi everyone.
Just come across this thread during a search for Tesco's misprice policy. I bought a Trust webcam and microphone twin pack today and was charged £24.97, instead of £19.97.
Th nice lady at customer services insisted that I have a full refund even though it should only have been £5.
Reading this thread gives the impression that this happens a lot, am I right?
Also noticed my name keeps appearing. Why is that?0 -

Question re DVD's ...
Bought 3 dvd's earlier ... in the two for £12 bit .... but I saw one with 3 for £18 on so thought that as a good deal .....
Goes through till and of course the discount kicked in for two but not the third ...
Goes to CS and points this out, saying that it clearly says this is 3 for £18 ...
CS doesnt agree, Manager comes and she doesnt either ... tells me that "the 3 for £18 dvd is a different offer" ..
I said, oh well, I dunno, well, it says 3 for £18, there's 3 dvd's there ... so can't I have a refund, I've just read your board whilst waiting 10 minutes for you etc ....
Nah, she says... "The other two must be sticked the same for you to get that offer ....??" (they had almost identical 2 for £12 stickers on - and the one I with the 3 for £18 sticker on was on the shelf with all the other ones of it being stickered for 2 for £12 etc)
I am right here, am I not, this IS a clear R&R ...?
I'm that tired I'm even beginning to doubt myself! LOL0 -

Welcome.......
Luckily you came accross a CS assistant that knew the policy.
She is completely correct.
If you are charged more than the price quoted on the shelf or on the article itself, you are entitled to a full refund and you retain the goods.
This will from here on , be known as an RandR, R&R, RnR....I'm sure you get the jist.
I can't remember your name being mentioned in this "relatively new part" of this massive thread.......so I suggest you may have come accross it a lot earlier than "just".........
Hope you are successful at this exciting "game"
Please post your "new finds" on the appropriately named "mis price" thread.....
If your name isnt Kev Kelly.....by the way...is that Kevin, or Kevan....but are merely using it as a nom de plume.........May i suggest if you wish to be taken seriously on here, you come back with something more tasteful..........
Re your Trust webcam.......was the Shelf Edge Label.(hereafter known as SEL, sel)....yellow, blue or white please.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Do you think I need to get out more.
Really need to get out of here, as if its only me and KK on, he might remember my voice from the August/September Xbox fiasco....
Gotta go.......nite all.Couponing....."every little hurts"
