ive realised that ive must have been in tescos 100's of times, and never once noticed the sign behind CS!
i'll casually investigate this on the way in tomorrow morning.0 -

heavenly wrote:Fairly new to this r&r thing, but I have been trying my hardest and today I got two books that have been mentioned time and time again on the misprice board. They were stickered wrong and I got a full refund no problems.
BUT...................................................................................................Now I feel really bad because I got these two books, not because I wanted them, but because I wanted a r&r.
I dont want them, and I dont even know anyone that would want them as a Xmas pressie, they will just sit on the side or no doubt go to the e of the bay!
Am I alone in my guilt.........should I feel bad..............or should I be glad..(maybe I should just be a poet!!!):rotfl:
I always ignore any items that I don't want/need unless it has real value, I do believe that some people would r&r a tesco carrier bag. So I agree with how you feel, did you need or want those books? - No, does anyone I know want those books?- No
So why get them ?, be selective , don't waste your CS lives on crap.0 -

Following on from Leadheads advice and this, you'll have a handfull of Mr T's you can visit regularly, sooner or later CS will get to know you and start being more difficult, so as wlfc1 says, make the most of your lives - what's the point in going toe to toe with the store manager for £2 worth of burgers, know when to gracefully back off or not even bother and wait for the next xbox to arrive.
Don't take the p155 out of the CSA - wait a while and take a wii instead!!!"Life was easier when I didn't have a clue"0 -
Thanks for all the advice. :A
Now I really do feel bad.....So bad that Im going to go back to CS and admit what I did was wrong and say I will never do it again!................Or maybe I will just take it as a learning experience and look out for more useful things next time.0 -

ixi wrote:Well its the first time I've felt guilty about an R&R. Bought 4 packets of the famous pork chops. After briefly stepping outside I took them up to the CS desk. I showed her the SEL and she took the big yellow offer one off and we head back to the till. Her colleague then politely asks me if I could go back and take the other 2 labels off that mention £4.28.
She then refunds my money, after furious writing in her big book, then hands me my chops, then after further scanning etc, refunds my money again. At this point I say "No, you've already given me the money". "No", she says, "I have to give you this". "Erm..... OK" I say "Thanks!" and I head out the door. Very strange, and I hope she doesn't get in too much trouble for it.
This thread in particular ...

Notice the figures in the first post ....
I'm sure these people are just following the manual.
I now realise that while we have been joyfull in getting our refunds we are actually stitched up once again by MR T.
We are obviously supposed to be getting the extra refund!!!
You realise this means the Postman may have been diddled out of around £2K cash!!
EDIT : Please don't take this post literally !
I thought from the quote and liberal smileys it would clear that post is meant to be 'tongue in cheek'.
You are not meant to get double refunds, but so much confusion and lack of clear instruction from management exist that some staff do give the double refunds. The post was merely meant to highlight this.

I haven't (intentionally) given any advice on Heavenly's dilemna......So dont quite understand what you are refering to above.(in red)
However, as Ive now been associated, I will give my opinion.....which I must say differs from all of the previous replies,,,,,,,,but Each to his own
Before I give my opinion, it appears that all the answers have simply said what Heavenly already feels, rather than give a solution....other than Give it to Charity..........which is very honourable.....
None of the posters on here know anyone elses circumstances........so even if an RandRed article may be no good for personal use, it may help to attain something that is needed.
I havent had one book, one DVd, or one game(apart from those that came in my bundles)
I can't get any more meat in my freezers(from months ago), and my cupboards are full.
The other day, I went out and got ** bottles of Moet.
Indecent, one or two cried.......but why.
Just because I have been successful in the past, should I stop now, and let them all go.
In getting these 2 books, Heavenly could possibly have either,
Taken them back under the 28 day rule for her money back.
Taken them back as unwanted gifts and swapped them for something she wanted.
Even sold them, and put the money towards making her Christmas a bit better.
As FloFlo commented, put it down as a training exercise, in waiting for something you do want.
The Dudes saying....Each to his own.......is very applicable here.
Dont feel guilty.......You are exploiting a policy which Tesco could be prosecuted for.
Give then to charity by all means, but if it will make your circumstances happier by selling/returning them.....do it.
Ive still got one PSP and games and one PS2 off months ago....but i'll bide my time, and either get a refund or an exchange(for something i need) at a later date.....as I have done on a number of occassions...........
Certainly dont feel bad about your RandR
Mr T doesn't feel bad about overcharging you.heavenly wrote:Thanks for all the advice. :A

Don't feel bad, and don't let this put you off.Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
