The problem here Iain is that you didnt say the right things to the manager
He cant have a sign up saying 3 for £18, and then charge you something else.
He cant split a bundled offer and say it only applies to a single item.
Trading Standards would support you in these.
As he offered you one free, he's accepted that you have been overcharged.
But as i said above, as you couldnt put up these arguments, he has conned you into leaving without your RandR......
You may be better going back armed with these facts, threaten him with TS(as youve spoken to them)........and forgetting about fraudulently trying to get your own back by duping another store.....which may back fire on you.
A lot of people on here will help you to lawfully gain your RandRs, but there wont be many who will congratulate you, in deliberate fraud.....as the great majority on this thread dont condone it, and really( i would imagine) dont even want to be kept informed about itCouponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Opinions wanted on if this should be a full rnr and what steps I should take next if any.
They didnt mark receipt as £20 refunded either, if thats relevent.
Paul
Its been going on so long it's difficult to believe they're still turning up!
Along the way CS come up with all sorts of excuses, human error or cashback offer or Its a voucher offer.
If you persevere you should get your refund. Its best not to accept the £20 when its offered but as they didn't mark your receipt you should be ok.
If you're happy to make yourself known try going back and speaking to the store manager.
If nothing else you're £20 up already! :T0 -
cheers leadhead...
tbh its just probably cos i am in a cream puff wi them the now... come tomorrow i won't try on the r&r-ing of a stickered dvd bought elsewhere.
thats the thing i love about r&r-ing, its honest and legal, i dont want to spoil it.
thanks again. i.  R&R since 1/12/06 = £549:shhh:

Stickered £19xx Scanned £22xx so R&R no problem.
Does anyone know who the OP was on these.
So many have posted them, and they've gone on so long, its difficult to know who to thank!!!0 -

My store struggles as well
We were wondering when the price focus would rear its ugly head again, nicely timed
Just to add insult to injury, the biggest ever Healthy Living launch starts (we think)... week 45
Anybody been reading the host messages that say "after reviewing the money saving websites" then proceeds to list all the errors that the customers find? They then want us to go and check that the labels are correct Professional this company is not, incompetent they are.
Looks like this website is becoming famous at Tesco its nice to help them do there job properly!!!!0 -
I was reading the posts from that site yesterday and it seems like Tescos have got lots of trouble with everything behind the scenes. It was fascinating to read it from an employees perspective. One post was grumbling very loudly about there being far too many new price labels to put out and change on Mondays and Wednesdays and commented that it meant that some stores were trading illegally because the work wasn't done in time!DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0
