The CS lady went and discussed it with a manager apparently  and I definately spent over £40 to qualify for the deal.

She told me it was due to it being a 'cash back' offer. Personally Im not so sure on that as a get out.

Any one else had any luck getting a refund on a non sealed DVD/Game/CD?
whether a golden R&R or a 'normal' refund with unmarked receipt?

I get most of my Golden R+Rs on DVDs and games from W.H.Smith now. But it depends entirely on the store and the person on the till. Luckily I know a decent bloke who works in my local branch who's happily given me cash for about £300 worth of R+R gear, and he's really chilled out about it.

They don't seem bothered about unsealed media as they sell all their stuff unsealed in the first place.

If you find a militant one who won't give you a cash refund without a receipt, they should still do an exchange and give you a new receipt - you can then take it with the new receipt to another store for a cash refund.

Thanked you on the misprice thread for this..................but.........

Theres no need to post it on both threads.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

I personally don't mind misprices being posted more than once...because it shows that these misprices are still happening....and are still out there for the taking

I agree & don't mind either, before I go shopping I just look at the last days posts I don't have time or energy to look back over the past week..
  • Slightly off topic but anyone have any spare uniball/asda coupons that they will not be using (will send a SAE) - I can give them a good home ;o)

These may be coming to the end of their life. I tried using them last night and checkout operator called supervisor to ask if she could accept them. Was told "no, these are the ones on the list"

Gonna try a different store tonight!

I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

Sounds like usual CS rubbish to me, doesnt the sign say "£20 OFF if you spend over £40" not "£20 cashback"
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
