Commiserations to all those who have trouble with sleeping. Its awful as I know only too well. First started when DS went to Afghan on his first tour and have never gone back to sleeping for more than 5 hours since. I go to bed, read a while, feel sleepy, turn off the light and - Wake up!

This made me laugh because that happens to me at least 6 nights out of 7, and the only night really that it doesn't happen is the night I go the pub :D But I get less sleep that night because when I am half cut, I always wake up after sleeping for 4 hours its madness:eek:
What I do a lot nowadays is sleep with the lamp on, its as if the pressure is on me to sleep once it goes off.

Nice to know I'm not the only one suffering with sleep deprivation. Well I am off the pub tonight, sink a few stiff brandy's I think, that may burn some inner layers off :D

I tried that myfitnesspal, and it seems I should be having 1200 calories aday, yesterday was 2100 and today will be 1600, hmmmm not looking good, no wonder I am gaining. I did notice my fat intake though is next to nothing, surely that has to be good.

Well I lost 2lb at my weigh in yesterday - not sure how as I had a terrible week so I need to make sure I keep 100% on track this week so it doesn't come back and bite me on the bum next week!

    So far today:

B: 2 slices of ham - I was running late!

    S: apple and banana

L: Ham, tuna, pickled onions, pickled cabbage and cucumber

S: .5 ice-cream (6) - I ate half of it and had had enough so I gave the rest to DS

Haven't decided what to do for tea yet - possibly pasta

Afternoon all - I can report 3 hours sleep, being awake for 2 hours and then a doze for 2 hours - and that's after taking Nytol! My brain is indestructible!

Today has been a good day at work and so feeling much better in myself.

Food is as always a green day...

Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
    Mid morning - banana
Lunch - cheese sandwich (B and A choice) with a smidge of branston pickle (1 syn), strawberries, grapes and a satsuma
Tea - not sure yet but will probably be pasta and pesto (3.5 syns) with a sprinkling of grated cheese (A choice)
    Dessert - frozen mullerlight

    So that's 2 B's, 2 A's and 4.5 syns so far.....

Maybe a few more syns later but will try not too after last night:o

Ive been struggling with sleep too, it takes me ages to nod off and then im restless, ive been having a few drops of valerian in a herbal tea and it does help me nod off quicker.
I tried that fitnesspal too today, couldnt resist having a nose! It says I should be on 1390 cals a day and I have 400 left today, and i feel ive eaten a lot, it doesnt include the bag of velvet crisps I had....I managed to get some and coughed my way through a packet and chuckled as I thought I would beat the coughing but no chance! I feel fatter today than when I started although my uniform (ie jarmies!) feel a bit baggier when ive just got them on so im hoping for a loss tomorrow.
B STrawberries, grapes muller light coffee (hea)
L Soup, coffee (hea) packet velvets 5 syns??
D SW chips, chicken fried in garlic, brown rice with ginger mushrooms spring onions and garlic and soy sauce, and half a pineapple to follow.
Drank fizzy flavoured water and had 1 alpen lite so far.
Syns Im going to do without today as the soup was spicy onion in a restaurant and incase it had oil etc in it il just use up all my syns on guesstimating. Christ knows how il get on tonight without it being dime o clock mind you!!
Tomorrows weigh in, so not going to eat until i come back from class. Got my 11 month old nephew tomorrow so should burn some calories looking after that little tinker, lets hope the scales reflect that or il be gutted.
    Good luck losers xx

Late today! Took the day off work to get the decorating finished so I'm now completely kn*ckered :( So just popped on while my bath is running to hopefully ease my aching back, knees....everything:wink: It looks nice now it's done and I've put the house back together :D

    B: Polenta, eggs, ketchup (1)
L: JP and beans with LC triangles (2)
D: Mushrooms stuffed with couscous, spinach and cheese (HEA), new potatoes, LF spread (2)

Might have some yoghurt and fruit in a bit and have me HEB's for supper.

Only had 3 syns yesterday *polishes halo* so I might treat myself to a small glass of wine tonight - medicinal, for pain relief of course:whistle:

    HI all!!

B: grapes on way to work. cup of tea (milk HEA) bannana and muller light when i got there.
L: compulsary buffet in a meeting - I chose chicken salad sandwich on brown bread (HEB) but there was mayo in it (2 syns?). Tomatoes and salady bits. Couple of pieces of scampi but I didnt eat the breadcrumbs so would that be free as its basically just fish then? 2 fruit kebab sticks and 1 choc profiterole (5 syns?). Cuppa tea.
S: rest of grapes on way home (is it really ok to eat a whole punnet in a day?)
D: huge jacket potato and salad (rocket, cucumber, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, carrot). low fat cottage cheese. Cuppa tea.

So I think I make that an extra easy day with 7 syns? Does that sound right?

My first target is to lose 1 stone.

    Welcome to the thread :)

Brown bread can't be counted as a HEB unless it's wholemeal and don't forget that your sandwich will more than likely have got some sort of spread on it (butter or marg) which will also have to be synned. The scampi will be syn-free if you discarded the breadcrumbs.

I wouldn't worry about today too much syn-wise as most of your food was very healthy, but it's a good idea to make your own sandwich if necessary so that you know exactly what's gone into it.

Though they are syn-free, grapes and bananas are fruit with a lot of natural sugars so you may find you're better off having strawberries (or something marked SS in your book) if you want to have a lot on a regular basis.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
