I need a change for my weekly breakfasts, something as quick as yogurts and banana, as I never have time on a working day, I eat the yogurt when I get up, and the banana while driving, anyone got any ideas of what I can have thats quick and easy?

i have two weetabix in milk with sliced nana - it's pretty quick - some take breakfast to work and eat porridge etc there.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

mmm that might be worth doing - they are doing the 3 month silver membership for £65 at the moment so that would be £30.

and i was thinking of subscribing to the magazine anyway at £16.50 so it is only an extra £13.50 spend.

might have to wait till pay day though!
sorry to quote myself but i got the magazine with this offer in this evening and it isnt as good as it looks at 1st glance.

apparently the £65 online fee is already discounted by £20 on the slimming world site and this code just takes off another £15 ontop.

so it would in fact be £50 not £30 so i dont think i can afford to do it.

oh well the magazine was interesting anyway

for breakfast you could consider preparing stuff the evening before, I myself have just prepared a bowlful of pineapple, melon, strawberries and some frozen raspberries that will be thawed by morning. Some people mix porridge oats (heb) with Muller light and fruit and leave it overnight. Personally I prefer it made when I eat it, but all tastes are different. Or you could cook a couple of rashers and a fat free (or quorn) sausage, maybe a few sliced mushrooms. Heat it all up tomorrow in the microwave, adding a couple of tomatoes and some beans (they don't need to be cooked in advance). Boil a couple of eggs tonight and have them cold in the morning followed by some fruit. Lots of ideas.

I go to bed about 10 pm, usually asleep by 10.30 and plan to rise at 6 but in summer it's usually more like 5.00 cos the cats think it's getting-up time. I don't much mind, I sit and knit and drink coffee and watch the beautiful sunrises.

Tonight I have lost one pound, meaning I am one pound over my target which is fine. HOWEVER, I opened my big fat gob and said I want to set a new target, 8 lbs below where I am now. Thus the reason for the big superfree breakfast mentioned above :D because I don't want this to take too long - hopefully by the Race for Life in early July.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    Hello everyone!
I sooo nearly went off the rails today, I was cold and it was raining and I just wanted to eat. I was even plannign to come home and go to Mr S to buy a load of cakes and then sit here and eat until I felt sick, but I've thought better of it now and am going to have some comfort food for dinner instead and hope that does the trick!

    A green day for me:
Porridge and berries and a ryvita(HEB)
    Milk in tea (HEA)
    Quorn and cucumber sandwich (HEB)
    3 mini babaybel lights (HEA)
A terry's chocolate orange bar (syns?)
A bag of worcester sauce french fries (syns??) These raelly made me cough, i had to persevere to ensure I finished the whole packet. When it somes to food, I'm definitely a 'completer-finisher':rotfl:

And I think I'll have SW chips with a quorn burger and peas for dinner, to satisfy the craving for stodge.
I've left my book upstairs and really can't be bothered to go and fetch it so I'll work the syns out later. I know it's more than 15 but I also know it's not nearly as many as it could have been!

    Keep up the good work!!

My sleep pattern is pants and has been for a while now. I don't know why, I have no major worries, nice home, great husband, no money worries as such (although could always do with a bit more!)

I usually sit and nod off for half hour about 9 ish while watching tele then don't feel tired so sit up and either watch stuff from the planner or fiddle on the computer until stupid o'clock (sometimes as late as 4 am). When I finally do go to sleep I am awake again at around 7 ish. I don't get grumpy but after 2 or 3 nights like that I am good for nothing. Don't know what to do about it so any suggestions would be very well received. x

Thanks for the breakfast ideas, I do need to start preparing the night before definately, going to start Friday when I have done my weekly shop on Thursday! I am also going to start posting my menu each day, so if anyone can find any improvements, please comment :-)

Confused, I would try and avoid that half hour power nap you have at 9, then you may feel more sleepy, or get in bed and watch tele before 9, then if you fall asleep you are more likely to stay asleep if in bed. No matter how tired I am, and my eyes are stinging now, I can't sleep before midnight, don't know why. I can go bed and try but it just doesnt happen. I always read in bed I find that helps me to nod off, or if I sit up and do a crossword I tend to find my eyes closing. I just find once I have had a terrible nights sleep, I always seem to have another one the day after, I stress about it because I know how bad I feel when I don't sleep, I worry I won't sleep again and then I don't. Makes no sense, I think I am just mad!!
Night night everyone, lets hope we all get some sleep tonight x

Thanks Susie - I haven't had the 9 o'clock power nap this evening so we'll see how tonight goes (sorry this morning, didn't notice the time!)

DIZZY - Will probably need the loan of your zimmer very soon, you're so generous xx

Please can I have the calorie website you mentioned, I often wonder who many calories I have in a day, I have never been on a calorie counting diet in the past, but I do wonder if some days I am even reaching 800 a day! maybe thats the problem, I don't know.

Thanks for your help and advice, and I promise to stay of them scales :rotfl:

I used to use MyFitnessPal, just type it into google. It has a calorie tracking thing, where you input foods onto this planner and it tells you the cal, fiber, fat, carbs, sugar, details. They have an IPhone app, which I found very useful :D

I had to actively try and put the food in on a night, so I wasn't like YAY only 900 cals I can have loads of chocolate, kinda mood! But I did find it very informative, and you can also input exercise (I found this a little more tricky to input) which also tells you how many cals youve burnt.

I would stay away from all artificial light on an evening. Apparenly bright lights 'kid' the body into thinking that it is morning, and release 'stay up' hormones, which stop us from getting to sleep. Try reading a book instead of going on the computer/watching TV.

Last night when I wasn't tired, I had a quiet half hour on the Wii Fit and that tired me out a little :rotfl:
