Eek, just caught up on *some* of the posts - is Mr Dizzy ok now?

:o Yes thanks Hun....He went back to work today (can't afford not to really as he may need some time off if they do his back Op later in the year) his back is still painful from the bump but he took his painkillers to work & hes on Butrans (Morphine) patches anyway from his surgeon. He has his stitches in his head & arm out in a week.

How are you getting on with your Job situation? hope you managed to get something sorted out. x x

It's our wedding anniversary soon and I'm worried I'm going to go a bit mad....

Can anyone tell me what the better (in views of SW EE) options for a chinese restaurant is? Is it chicken chow mein?

Also how many points in a bottle of white granache anyone? :rotfl:

On the plus side, OH fancied the advert on the telly with asparagus salmon and dippy eggs - and that's free (depending on what I fry the asparagus in) so have bought the stuff :D

I'm pretty sure a bottle of white med/dry wine is 30 syns if memory serves me right from a recent class.

    chicken chow mein is 7

    Evening all!

I am sooo tired - I'm going through a phase of insomnia again - just 3 hrs sleep last night and the same the night before. Its making me grumpy and starving! Not a good combination:mad:

Anyway, it was WI day today and have lost a piddly 0.5lbs. I am only 3lbs away from my target now and its not going quickly at all. Perhaps I should take Skint's advice and change it up a bit?

The attack of the grumps has lead me astray today I'm afraid - the day was fine, stuck to plan and had no unplanned extras but then went to WI and our usual consultant was on holiday on a cruise in Mexico she'd won from SW for being regional consultant of the year (or something like that) and only a handful of people stayed so I left too.
Passed the chinese chip shop on the way home and the idea stuck in my mind.... the result - I sent OH out for egg fried rice, chips and curry sauce:o I have no idea how many syns that is? OH did have about a third of the chips and the dog had about a third of the rice. I did enjoy it but I felt properly sick afterwards - I haven't had anything like this for months and I think my tastebuds/tolerance have changed - probably a good thing!
In addition to this I had a small glass of wine (6 syns) and a Rocky bar (5 or 6 syns?).

At least there's a whole week to the next WI - its the first time I've binged or "treated" myself after a WI and I do feel quite guilty about it - daft isn't it?

Anyway, onwards and upwards (or downwards should that be?).......
    Repeat after me -
Tomorrow I will be good.... Tomorrow I will be good........Tomorrow I will be good!

    May I offer some ideas?

Firstly, is that 3 days between weigh ins? You know I'm going to slap your wrist for that :p Secondly, what is your weight loss/gain over the course of the last month? Finally, if you're getting close to target maybe its time to mix things up a bit? I'm a member of a good website (will post details if anyone wants but its not SW, its calorie counting and exercise) and their forum is packed full of ideas to shift the last few lbs, and explains why the last few are sticky (basically because your body doesn't want to get rid of that excess fat, it may need it some day ;)). Some of the ideas that I think are really good are:
    • Up, or change your exercise. So try a new sport, or if you do lots of cardio try strength instead or as well as. If you don't do much exercise, now is an excellent time to up it a little.
    • Food -wise, cycle days. They are all about calorie counting so do days of higher and lower calories, but in slimming world terms I'd say it translates to: do a different combination of red, green or EE, try success express, Change your healthy extras from the ones you usually have, try new foods, new recipes, you get the idea. maybe have a play around with how many meals you eat, when you eat your carbs and so on, or if you eat a lot of one type of food try reducing your dependence on that for a while and try others.
    Hope that helps :)

    *like* !

Thank you so much for this, it kind of was a WI after 3 days, because last week I gained I thought it must be water so weighed myself again at the weekend to find another gain, so done 3 red days thinking them gains will be gone now, so couldn't help but WI today and once again, another gain  My WI days are wednesdays, but I won't get chance to weigh myself in the morning on the WII as I have workmen in first thing, so done it today.

My target all along was 11 stone, even though I should be about 10 stone, but I don't suit being thin, I just want to be a size 14, which to be honest I am now, but want to shift them last few pounds. I don't really exercise at the minute, I found a few weeks ago (where I had 2 weeks STS was when I started with the exercise, and because I STS I stopped, and started losing again. So my plan was to get to target then up the exercise. Maybe like you say, now is the time to do this.
I will sit down tomorrow and try and think of some different meals, I do switch from red, EE and green throughout the week, so can't improve on that, but could try express for a few days, see if that helps.
I am thinking of joining a SW class this week, I did 3 month online, which has now ended, and they sent me a free membership voucher, so all I should have to pay is the fiver??? and that way I will get the books, that should give me ideas on menus etc.

Please can I have the calorie website you mentioned, I often wonder who many calories I have in a day, I have never been on a calorie counting diet in the past, but I do wonder if some days I am even reaching 800 a day! maybe thats the problem, I don't know.

Thanks for your help and advice, and I promise to stay of them scales :rotfl:

I love this site, it makes me realise I am not alone with my problems, Brians daughter with her weight loss, and you being sleep deprived. I haven't slept much for about a week now, I wondered if last weeks gain was due to my lack of sleep, as I find it upsets my bowels, and get constipated after a crappy nights sleep. I did get a half decent sleep over the weekend, but last night and the night before were awful.

It makes me wonder, how much sleep does everyone else get on an average working night, when you have to get up early regardless of how much kip you've had???? If I average it over a few weeks, I would say I get about 5-6 hours midweek, and 7-8 over the weekend. Last 2 nights I'm the same as you Welshwoofer, I got about 3 or 4

Oh and todays red day consisted of:
    B: Strawb yog & banana
L: Chicken, loads of salad & 30g low low cheese (HEA)
    Big box of mango
D: Chicken casserole, mushrooms, onion, brocolli & cauli (3 syns for sauce)
    Milk in tea's HEA
No HEB's yet, so will have 2 alpen lights now when I watch eastenders, and something else to up my syns

I need a change for my weekly breakfasts, something as quick as yogurts and banana, as I never have time on a working day, I eat the yogurt when I get up, and the banana while driving, anyone got any ideas of what I can have thats quick and easy?

I need at least 7 hours sleep - and I mean need - otherwise I am seriously grumpy, scowling and thunderclouds hover over my head!!!:rotfl:

I can get away with the occasional night of less sleep but more than one night in a row and it's not pretty :o
