I feel quite disillussioned today tho tbh

Sorry for the really negative post, but i needed to vent

Can anyone suggest ways to speed my loss ?

I have set myself goals which i dont think are now achieveable and it really makes me feel like saying 'sod it i am meant to be fat!!'

Right....this is going to be a "stop feeling sorry for yourself" kick up the backside :D

As everyone has pointed out - your body is in a hormonal mess just a few short weeks after having a baby. You're losing weight well, though I can see you don't believe that.

What will you achieve by saying "sod it I'm meant to be fat"...yes that's right, you'll put weight on (and on and on) and then you'll be able to say "see, I told you I was meant to be fat" :rotfl:

You don't need to find ways to speed your loss, you need to find ways to be satisfied with a small but regular loss. The ideal weight loss is between 1 and 2 lbs a week - any more than that and you may be losing lean tissue/muscle which will make it harder to lose weight long term.

You're taking what we call the scenic route - a happy place to be! This isn't a race it's not meant to be a quick fix. You're learning new, healthy habits and that takes time. If not, come this time next year you'll be back having put it all back on.

Calm down, look at your achievements to date (not to mention a gorgeous addition to the family) and be grateful for them :D

Ooh, forgot to mention, don't always look for losses on the scales, sometimes they come from checking out the tape measure - inches lost are even better than pounds in my opinion :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

  • Hello everyone.
I hope you don't mind me joining you all on this lovely, friendly forum. I have been lurking around the SW threads over the past few years & have alway enjoyed the very genuine support that is freely given & of course, the wonderful weight losses. I have been on & off the SW eating plan over the last few years & had joined again in March but after a death in the family which knocked me for 6, I decided to leave it for a while. I am hoping that by going public(!), thatI can get my butt in gear again.

1 syn for every 20 calories so 4 syns each (that's not bad!) but not a HEB i'm afraid as they do not have enough fibre

Think you have you HEs back to front, HEa is cheese & milk & HEbs are cereals, ryvita, cereal bars etc as well as meat on green days.
So you can't have a cereal bar for your HEa but you could have a milky drink or some cheese.
    HTHS :)

Just checking you were paying attention :rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously thanks for that used to get A and Bs mixed up last time and it looks like nothings changed. :D
