mmm that might be worth doing - they are doing the 3 month silver membership for £65 at the moment so that would be £30.
and i was thinking of subscribing to the magazine anyway at £16.50 so it is only an extra £13.50 spend.
might have to wait till pay day though!0 -
Briansdaughter - Don't beat yourself up! You've lost a stone in 10 weeks after having a baby
thats fantastic!!
It's taken me a whole year to lose a stone:o yes, I get a bit fed-up and down hearted at times but I'm happy to take the scenic route to weightloss. Your body is still going through massive changes after giving birth so relaxyour weightloss is going in the right direction
:rotfl:*By the way, my youngest is 35 and I'm still carrying babyweight!*:rotfl:0 -

Hi all. i've had a busy day and now I'm exhausted!! Spent the morning in the garden planting out my veggies then spent the afternoon doing housework and preparing a meal. We have both sets of parents coming round for tea tonight to look at the wedding pics, only trouble is, I'm too tired to be sociable now, I just want to snuggle up with DH and watch trashy TV!!! Back to work tomorrow too, not looking forward to that, I'll have atleast 1000 emails to get through!!
Brian's Daughter, it took me over a year to get to target and in that time I only lost 11lbs overall so you're doing really well.
EE day here:
Brekkie - small banana, grapefruit, yogurt
Lunch - WM pitta (HEB), tuna, light mayo (1), salad
Tea - chicken casserole (3), jacket potato, broccoli, spring greens
HEA - milk in teas.
I've made apple and mincemeat strudel for pudding so I'll have a teeny slice with a drop of low fat custard and feed the rest to everyone else!!0 -
 Hello!!
Thanks for the "well done" dizzyk
Today is EE as normal, and trying to go easy in the syns to conterbalance yesterdays 23.5!!!
B - 2 x Weetabix (HEB), Banana (with tiny splish of milk cos I don't want soggy w'bix!!) Rest of milk in coffees
L - Pasta with toms and veg, mango, pineapple, melon, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and yogurt
D - Turkey Biriyani (1 - for curry paste)
That's me done!!
Well done everyone else - keep up the good work. Keep smiling and trying - WE WILL BE THINNER!!!

Hello everyone!
I sooo nearly went off the rails today, I was cold and it was raining and I just wanted to eat. I was even plannign to come home and go to Mr S to buy a load of cakes and then sit here and eat until I felt sick, but I've thought better of it now and am going to have some comfort food for dinner instead and hope that does the trick!
A green day for me:
Porridge and berries and a ryvita(HEB)
Milk in tea (HEA)
Quorn and cucumber sandwich (HEB)
3 mini babaybel lights (HEA)
A terry's chocolate orange bar (syns?)
A bag of worcester sauce french fries (syns??) These raelly made me cough, i had to persevere to ensure I finished the whole packet. When it somes to food, I'm definitely a 'completer-finisher':rotfl:
And I think I'll have SW chips with a quorn burger and peas for dinner, to satisfy the craving for stodge.
I've left my book upstairs and really can't be bothered to go and fetch it so I'll work the syns out later. I know it's more than 15 but I also know it's not nearly as many as it could have been!
Keep up the good work!!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -

I started slimming world last week and I think it's going ok!
I'm doing extra easy and have had 1 sin (I think) today so what can i have tonight? Over the weekend I used my sins on wine and the consultant says you HAVE to use your sins everyday.
So today I have eaten, (can someone please tell me if I have got this right as it seems so much more than what I would normally eat lol)
Banana and muller light (free)
Grapes and satsuma (free)
Wholewheat pasta, red onion, cucumber, peppers, sweetcorn in a fat free vinegertte dressing (free...I think?? seems too much to be free lol)
dashes of skimmed milk in tea/coffee (healthy extra a)
2 x alpen light bars (healthy extra b)
new potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, peas, sweetcorn, carrots and sweet potato with veg gravy (1 oxo and spoon cornflour...1 syn i think)
M+S strawberry fat free yougart (free)
Looking forward to 'meeting' you all

Hi and welcome to the thread
Your meal plan looks good to me and don't worry about the amount of food you're managing to put away - most people pass similar comments when they start with SW. The thing is that the food you're eating is healthy stuff and not laden with fat, sugar and calories so you can eat much more than normal while still losing weight.
Make sure you measure out the milk for your HEA - you need it to make sure you're getting the calcium your body needs.
What can you have tonight? Well you could have chocolate, wine (or other sweet/boozy stuff). You could syn some extra cheese and extra bread for Welsh Rarebit for supper. You can do just about anything you like as long as you count the syns.
Lots of people like to add syns to a meal - full-fat mayo for instance or adding creamy sauces. You do whatever makes food interesting for you.....the more you enjoy it, the better you'll stick to plan and the higher the chances that you'll form healthy habits for lifeI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Brians daughter - hope that you are feeling better. It is very disheartening when you either dont shift any wieght or not enough to be happy with. Remember it took more than a week or two to get the weight on though and chipping away at it slowly but surely is better than a massive loss each week - no matter how much we would all like to do that.
Today am having a GREEN day -
B - Yogurt
L - Ryvita with cheese, cucumber and onion. Apple
T - Leek and potato rosti with smoked cod, coooked cherry tomatoes and pak choi with a poached egg on the top. Can hardly wait. Strawberries to follow.
HEA - Ryvita HEB - Cheese. Fish
Syns will be milk for drinks and snacks are fruit. Have a bit of pineapple that needs eating by tonight.
Have another HEA so may have an cereal bar later.
Going to try and get to local market tomorrow for more fruit and veg as have very little left.
Think you have you HEs back to front, HEa is cheese & milk & HEbs are cereals, ryvita, cereal bars etc as well as meat on green days.
So you can't have a cereal bar for your HEa but you could have a milky drink or some cheese.
HTHSIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Briansdaughter don't give up you are doing really well. and you are prob getting enough exercise looking after your baby, dont fret about increasing it. I lost nearly 3 st and actually REDUCED my exercise when I realised I could lose weight just as well without marching up and down the hills round herethank you
sorry to be thick but i dont own a steamer, is there another way i can steam veg without one?I've seen something very similar in the pound shop, worth a try.
I've got an electric steamer but it's too much of a faff to wash all the bits up unless I'm cooking for loads and need the hob space. I'm thinking of buying one of those steamer saucepans instead.
What I want is a large bowl with a vented lid, big enough for microwaving packs of Batchelors savoury rice. It would be so much easier than covering with cling film and burning myself when I lift it up to stir! Anyone seen one/got one?
WI for me tonight, hope I've lost a bit as I am only one pound below my upper limit (I am at target) which has also put me in the next stone up which I didn't want. My own fault, I am a tad cavalier now I am at target - MUST CONCENTRATE!:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!
