A Slimmer Summer with Slimming World

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Consultant31 - the neighbours are used to us doing ‘odd’ things so no problem about what they think. Mind you it does help that they are relatives.:rotfl:
Lynzpower - Unfortunately the power of super free food had no effect last time in making me go the loo more. But I know what you mean as when did sw last time 5 members of the family went and it had that effect on them. Without tablets I am lucky if I go once a day.
Yesterday was day one and it was a RED day - Only started at lunch time so wont count the breakfast.
L - Chicken portion skin removed, celery, tomato, onion, 1 Ryvita and a yoghurt
T - Cottage pie, carrots and broccoli. Small amount gravy.
Snacks - 1 banana, 1 ryvita and lots of cherry tomatoes.
So if I remember right I used 2Bs - for the potato topping and the ryvitas and had milk in tea so 1A used there and counted 4 syns for the gravy.
Today am going to see if I have this EE right - Can someone please let me know if it is an EE or if I should see it as a GREEN and syn the bacon?
B - ½ grapefruit. 1 Ryvita with one very thin sliver of cheese on.
L- home made leek and potato soup and 1 rd bread, 1 chicken thigh. Apple
T - Omelette with 1 rasher bacon, onions, tomatoes, small amount of grated cheese and a salad. Yoghurt and fruit.
2B’s - ryvita and 1 rd bread. 2As - cheese
Will have another ryvita as a snack if needed and plenty of fruit in.
Not sure what my syns will be yet.

MrsM - have you considered doing weight lifting too? It'll speed up the weight loss even further and also help to drastically reduce the 'sag' that you may get due to losing that incredible amount of weight
strangely enough, I have as I seem to have the exercise bug  -but Im not sure that it would be suitable for me yet -I had part of my skull removed -the bit right at the back where it meets my spine, so I have to be carefull not to build up pressure -even straining to lift things can cause problems. I think once I get a bit more weight off I will venture into a gym and ask about it. So far I am amazed that I don't seem to be getting the sagging *pinkies crossed it stays that way*-I think its helped because I have lost slowly, and I eat healthy oils -salmon, olive oil, avocado and drink loads of water -so I think my skin is in good nick. I think I like the jogging as its out in the fresh air and Im aware that the extra oxygen going in helps cellulite etc plus it will hopefully help tone up my lower half *seems to be doing so, so far* ,
What I really really want to get into when Im slimmer is kick boxing
Hope the wedding goes well....-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
hey ladies (and gents if we have any?)
Good afternoon!! Well, tonight is dreaded weigh in after my wobble on here at weekend (and the monthly event starting has left me bloated) i am not looking forward to it, but its tomorrow soon and thats a new week.
I MUST get in the habit of posting what i am having every day - but i am not always able to, with a newborn and 2 others i rarely get 10 mins to myself
Could anyone help with the following...slightly stuck for ideas, its only my 6th SW week so i am still getting to grips with it all!
Going to a BBQ at weekend and its kinda bring something with you. I am going to do hm burgers and take wm rolls and a big salad but what else can i do thats syn free or very low syns?
Also, i have come to realise i need to start eating fish - i bloody hate fish (goes back to granny trying to feed us cod simmered in milk in my youth and have never touched it since, the thought makes me feel quite ill!) Sooooo, what isn t a fishy fish iykwim? and what could i have it with to 'ease' me into the fishy world?
Wish me luck (and strength!) at WI tonight. I imagine i have gained and i am trying to get the mindset that it isnt that bad!
On a MASSIVE plus note I bought a size 16's dress today and it fits :j:j:j:jI went to a 20's when i had just had the baby so i am over the moonI have 'only' lost 20lb since having the baby, but 2 whole dress sizes whoo! Roll on the 14's i say

That's fair enough - but you won't be 'straining' to lift unless the weights are too heavy. You could start out with a lighter weight and give it enough repetitions to 'feel the burn' so to speak.
I haven't got any sag yet either aside from I had a little bit under my arms (the bingo wings lol) a few months ago, so at that point I realised I needed to focus more on tricep extensions and now they're gone :cool:Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Sorry but I'm not sure about green but I know it can't be EE as you have too many HEs. EE is just one A and one B.brians_daughter wrote: »

Dizzy has a similar problem with fish and she has put her recipe for spicy fish kebab up. The link is at the bottom of the very first post. I've not tried it myself but it looks very tasty. There are some salad recipes there too. You could always make a pasta or rice salad for the barbecue but it sounds as if you've got a fair bit planned already.
I'm feeling a bit more positive today. Thanks lynz for the advice about staying away from Toby carvery:). Unfortunately, it wasn't my choice but I only go there about 6 times a year so not a huge problem. It was just depressing that I felt so stuffed.
EE today:
B: NAS squash, baked beans, HEB toast and HEA milk in teas
L: ham, tomato & cucumber sandwich, quarter melonchicken jumbalaya (own recipe contains loads of veg)
Snacks: frozen Muller still in freezer, may try it tonight0 -

My WI tonight but not holding out much hope, if I stay the same I'll be pleased. I don't overdo the syns but I do have big portions. Nevermind I have now completed 5 shreds and although I curse that Jillian every morning (especially says that when you're dying just follow Anita) - I am following Anita and still feel like dying at that point. xx0 -
