Haven't been in here for a while, but had a gain the last couple of weeks. I haven't gone binging or anything, it's just wedding stress to be honest. I get married in 16 days now and I've had to do things like sampling the wines to be given to the guests as well as a full menu test so that we know our guests are getting exquisite food. I'm paying for it at the end of the day, I want them to eat luxuriously!

Anyway, 3lbs have come on in the last 2 weeks which doesn't bother me too much, so as of last Wednesday WI I had 6lb to lose before the wedding, which would mean a 5 stone loss since the start of August last year.

I was aiming for the 5 stone so that's nice, but I'm a little disappointed it's taken me this long - but weight off is weight off!

Hoping for something respectable this week, I've been lifting weights like a machine and getting in plenty of cardio work as well as increasing my protein intake and limiting my carbs. I could take or leave the cardio since it's weight lifting that burns the most fat (important lesson for anyone trying to lose!), but it should result in a loss at least. We shall see. Fingers crossed.

Welcome back WOOTBALL - you must be very excited about the coming wedding. As you say weight off is weight off. Concentrate on the weight you've lost NOT the little bit you put on.

You know you can do it so just keep doing what you're doing and look forward to that lovely day you've got planned. x

WI last night and i lost 2lbs - and I'm really chuffed - half a pound to go until 3 stone!

I have been walking before breakfast for a few weeks now - well today I managed to break into a very small run!

EE as always today - porridge and fruit for breakfast, lunch will be salad, ryvita and some sliced chicken and tea will be chicken in a bag - 5 syns for the whole lot, so divided by 5 of us thats 1 syn for tea - served with some brown rice and veggies.

Not certain what to have as syns today..... maybe a hifi bar later - I've still got one that came in my slimmer of the week win from a couple of weeks ago....

Can anyone tell me,about varying foods.I love my poached eggs and beans for breakfast (mushroms and bacon at weekends ,I find it really keeps me full.Is it ok to have eggs everyday for breakfast,or do I need to vary it?
Also ,going away at the weekend so eating out,any tips on eating out? I cant pick where I go,its been chosen already.

I have eggs almost every day for breakfast and I'm losing weight!

I'm hungry again about half an hour after cereal but a cooked brekkie keeps me going! I'm losing weight slowly but surely, I wouldn't worry about it.

Can't help with the eating out other than try to make sensible choices.....

    Menu for today

B - Muller light and Apple
L - Ham, Hard boiled egg, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, light salad cream (still counting this as 5 syns as cant find it - can anyone help? its from Asda!)
D - Chicken stuffed with babybel wrapped in bacon (HEA), lettuce, cucumber, tomato, light salad cream (5)
    S - oaty bar, fruit

So i make that 1xHEA and 1xHEB and 10 syns (although this may be less if I can ever find the syns for asda light salad cream!) which gives me the option for more HEA or HEB or to have some slimming world chips with dinner and make it an EE day

    Have a fabulous day everyone!
In my old book I can't find light salad cream but the 50% less fat asda one is 1 syn per level tablespoon so would assume the light one is about the same. HTHS

Good luck for a loss this week Woot and hope the wedding is perfect for you both. Missed you around here, haven't had a decent 'debate' in ages :rotfl:.

Well done on the 'small run', I would love to be able to run but I'd need a bus load of 'Tenna Lady' on stand by :rotfl:. Also suffer with shin splints and that really hurts :(.

I am sat here feeling very guilty that I'm not at work. 1st thing each morning I feel so rough that work is out of the question but once the meds kick in I start thinking I should be at work. Oh what to do, what to do . I'm still full of cold and sound very nasely but would normally work through a cold but have had this for 3 weeks now so probably more than just a cold.

    :think::think::think::think::think:
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi All, Just a quickie to say I lost 3lb this week.... I know, I can't believe it either :j This makes me 11st 1lb, and my target from the start was 11 stone, so 1lb away from target. I really can't decide whether to try for another half stone or not. I am happy now with my size, I never wanted to be thin, just average. I just need to lose my belly, and I think exercise is the real key for this. I haven't been doing any exercise for weeks now, as I felt it was stalling the weight loss.

I think having 3 red days a week has definately helped speed up the weight loss, If anyone is doing EE everyday (like I was) I highly recommend a few red days, especially prior to WI.

So I think I will lose my pound, get to target then start with the exercises and try and tone up.

Oh and I also need new clothes, everything is falling off me :j:j

I LOVE THIS WAY OF EATING, I THINK ITS SIMPLE, FILLING AND BLOODY AMAZING, THANK YOU MRS SLIMMING WORLD, WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

I have just looked on Slimming World website but it doesn't have anything for Asda salad cream. In the food optimising book it says 1 level tbspn reduced calorie salad cream is 1.5 syns. Hope that helps :)

    Good Afternoon all

It's a nippy one today -no sign of the sun yet and very windy....

Well done on those loses again folks :T

So then, I didn't get out for my jog yesterday :( as poor ole hubby was pooped - he did PT on Monday, then hockey practice, then we jogged -yesterday he had PT again, and today he has hockey practice... so we nipped shopping as we were getting low on water, milk and few other bits...
Im going to try and motivate myself into going out in a morning for a jog so that then when hubby is OK to jog in an evening I can get 2 jogs in -I just need to get my !!! out there -hopefully tomorrow ....
Anyhoo -I have finally settled on my plan for today and it should loook like this:-
    red carb curfew

    1/2 red grapefruit
    melon

    2 weetabix (B)
    125ml semi (0.5xA)
    banana

    4 ryvitas (B)
    tuna
    28g sweetcorn (1.5)
    mayonnaise (1)
    tomatoes
    tickled beetroot
    tickled cabbage
    tickled onions

    frozen cherries
    frozen strawberries
    activia (2.5)
    hm OX burger
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomatoes
    peppers
    onions
    tickled beetroot
    tickled cabbage
    tickled onions

    activia (2.5)
    375ml semi (1.5 x A)
So thats 2A+Bs and 7.5 syns covered.

Hubby is doing a hockey thing this morning and then there is food provided *gawd knows what*, so I can only plan his evening meal so his will be an EE day :-
    2 hm OX burger
    hm oven chips (1)
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomatoes
    peppers
    onions
    tickled cabbage
    tickled beetroot
    tickled onions

SO that just uses 1 syn and leaves his 1A+B and 14 syns to cover his lunch and any extras this evening .

Well yesterday I went shopping in a full on "summer ensemble" :j
3/4 stone linen trousers, cream cami with a beige n pinky dolly mixture floral over shirt, beaded toe-post sandals and a cream crocheted shoulder bag - If I say so my self I looked rather summery :D.

Right Im off to get some more sorting done ..have a lovely afternoon all... and keep up the great work!!

MrsM - have you considered doing weight lifting too? It'll speed up the weight loss even further and also help to drastically reduce the 'sag' that you may get due to losing that incredible amount of weight :)
Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.
