pudding, but thats me all over :wall: :D

Mr Brightside, I think at the mo SW might be having bring a freind for free, so if you have any mates ( or anyone on here local) maybe you could score a bargain? Im not sure maybe call SW HQ and ask them for a bargain :D

Scotrae: I made the mistake last year with lidls yogs, however, It didnt really impede my loss last year went from 14/16 to a 8/10 in the summer. Mullers are 25p at asda still ( when will this end anyone know?)

mrsMcawber, you should make yourself a few pretty pennies on ebay with all these very lightly worn trousers and other clothes :D You are literallly shedding it. GO YOU what an inspiration :j

Dizzy hope you are feeling ok x

Lisa, cant believe only a few more days till the wedding. :j How exciting!

Phew, im sure Ive missed people but anyone else- KEEP GOING!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...

Hello can I join you please.

A few years ago I did sw when it was just RED and GREEN days and I went from 12st 13lb to 9st 6lb a fantastic loss of 3st 7lb however our consultant left to have a baby and a replacement couldn’t be found. I did join another group but really didn’t like it so gave up after a few weeks.
So as you guessed the weight crept back and I got to 13st 9lb. To cut a long story short - due to our daughter being terminally ill I got down to 10st 8lb without trying but once again the weight has crept on. Today was at doctors with DH and asked if we could both be weighed.:eek:

So today is D Day I REFUSE to be any heavier. Back to RED and GREEN days as I don’t fully understand the other options - yet. DH is also giving this a go as he is grossly overweight. We both have serious heart related problems which mean that neither of us can do much in the way of exercise but we will try to be a little more active. My health problem is congenital meaning I was born with problems and DH is mainly weight related. (he was at one point over 28st) He is diabetic (tablet controlled) has angina and has had a heart attack. I also have an under active thyroid but I know for CERTAIN that even with this you can lose weight regardless of what many people say. We both take numerous medications and I have to take diuretics.
I will read this forum daily to give me some incentive and will post often. Please feel free to offer any advice, tips or tell me what I am doing wrong.
Have kept lots of sw magazines so will start to read them again for inspiration. Don’t fully understand the EE days yet but will read your posts and try to fathom it out in time. For now it will be RED and GREEN.
Look forwards to getting to know you all and to shifting some weight for good this time.

    ME -11ST 5LB
    DH - 20ST 3LB

I'm so sorry about your daughter, that must be very hard to bear :(

Your own and your husbands health is paramount but health problems will all seem much easier to manage once you've got a handle on your weight. Being overweight puts a huge strain on your heart and that is something you already know you can do something about. It's not necessary to exercise until you feel fitter, but even sitting in a chair there are things you can do, clenching muscles, waving your arms about and so on....it may look a little odd to the neighbours but you can always close the curtains :D

We are all here to help and support you as much as we can, if you've any questions, feel free to ask them. You sound very motivated so you go girl :T
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

This was exactly what I was about to say and was just rewinding but you put it ever so well. Great advice.

There are always lots of little tiny things that you can do. Sometimes I walk to the end of the road to put a carrier bags worth recycling in the communal bins. Sometimes I walk to and fro from the kitchen to put washing on the line instead of taking the basket. Lifting a tin of beans while youwatch tv or moving your feet up and down on a shoe box. Stretching that little further when cleaning something. If you have any stairs in your house you can do a basic one step-then down stepping jsut for a minute or two. I also find going to the shops to get regular fresh fruit and veg, well its a bit of extra walking, a bit of extra carrying. If you cant carry loads, then youll need to carry often! ( or in the car) its all exercise and it will all help!

You may well find eating all this superfree food youll have no problem going for a wee! I know thats not only my experience :D :rotfl:

    Hi all.
Ive been stalking this thread for a while, and felt it time to post.

I started slimming world a few weeks ago lost 8 pounds and then went haywire (uni craziness, exams, assignments :() and as of last Wednesday I was actually heavier than when I began! Ahhh

However this thread completly inspired me to sort myself out and get back on track. I have been super good all this week and weigh in tomorrow. Tracked EVERYTHING! And done loads of body magic. I bought Jillian in January as part of my new years resolution, but only been using it this week. Set an aim for 180 minutes this week and Ive hit 195 with a day to go (also been on the wii, my cardio boxing! Fab!)

After WI tomorrow im going to come in everyday and post my plan. Is that Ok? I think it will be something to make sure I stick to it :) I have a summer wardrobe waiting for me to loose weight : )

Well I hadn't liked to ask but I've been getting up in the night since starting with SW! Reassured to know it's probably related to the plan!

I too often need a wee in the night - but only recent months - hadn't connected the two! Phew!

Well a good result at WI - 3lbs off and Slimmer of the Week!:j:j:j
I knew I'd been fairly good but not that good! Saying that, I probably had no more than 60ish syns in the week and no booze or bread.
That means I've now exceeded my original target and am only 3lbs away from the rejigged one of 9st 13lbs - I think I could probably do a few more lbs and be comfortably in the 9 st bracket. We'll see....

    Today's food...
    Breakfast - Hifi bar
    Mid Morning - banana
Lunch - leftover free pasta, grapes, raspberries
Snack at WI - Hifi bar
Tea - jacket spud, beans and cheese

Treats - sugar free jelly (0.5 syns), bit of stolen aero from OH (3 ish syns)(don't tell him!)

Exercise - walked for a total of 1 hour with dog

I am quite motivated for the coming week after the loss and a very "right ladies its time to get back on track" talk from our consultant tonight - she's had enough of gains over the bank holidays and was laying down the law (very gently!)

Hope everyone is ok and has had a good day?

Hi there CompBunny - I would kill to be a BMI of 19.2 so can't advise.;o)
I also would take advice from the doctor before coming off any prescribed meds..... maybe get their advice before joning a slimming club?
They might be able to help with coming off the meds if it is the right thng to do?
    Good luck anyway!
    x

Thankyou for your reply fitorbust :) I guess the doctor way is the best way:think: Regarding joining SW I think I might try and contact the leader of the local club and see what she/he says. I don't want to shed mega pounds, just get back to eating reasonable quantities instead of everything in the cupboards/Tesco! So I guess maybe more of a "healthy eating" regime instead of slimming, but can't think of a better way than a scheme such as SW! Anyway, thankyou for replying and hope to be joining you all on here soon x
