I'm feeling a bit down as I just can't seem to get back into the groove properly after gaining over the bank holidays. I've been eating out at Toby carvery tonight. I refused the yorkshire but I did have a few roasties and gravy and some cauli with the sauce on. I also had loads of broccoli, swede, carrots and peas. In fact, I just had loads:o
I'm going on holiday in 6 weeks and I would love to lose another half stone. It's the weekend wine syns that are my downfall. It's fine if that's followed by a week of staying in cooking for myself but it goes pear-shaped if I end up eating out mid-week.
I know the answer. I just need to cut back on weekend syns and keep some spare for any weekday invitations that crop up. Anyone got any will-power going spare??;)0 -

If you are happy with your losses whilst eating the same thing for breakfast then go for it! I'd only start trying to vary things more if your losses slow down, and you need a boost. Don't change it if it ain't broken
For eating out, don't be scared to ask for stuff to be cooked differently or for sauces to be removed. I'd go for lean meat or fish with vegetables, or tomato based dishes. These are usually the lowest in syns. Where is it your going? if they have an online menu we could suggest what would be bestSlimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

Menu for today
B - Muller light and Apple
L - Ham, Hard boiled egg, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, light salad cream (still counting this as 5 syns as cant find it - can anyone help? its from Asda!)
D - Chicken stuffed with babybel wrapped in bacon (HEA), lettuce, cucumber, tomato, light salad cream (5)
S - oaty bar, fruit
So i make that 1xHEA and 1xHEB and 10 syns (although this may be less if I can ever find the syns for asda light salad cream!) which gives me the option for more HEA or HEB or to have some slimming world chips with dinner and make it an EE day
Have a fabulous day everyone!0 -
Haven't been in here for a while, but had a gain the last couple of weeks. I haven't gone binging or anything, it's just wedding stress to be honest. I get married in 16 days now and I've had to do things like sampling the wines to be given to the guests as well as a full menu test so that we know our guests are getting exquisite food. I'm paying for it at the end of the day, I want them to eat luxuriously!
Anyway, 3lbs have come on in the last 2 weeks which doesn't bother me too much, so as of last Wednesday WI I had 6lb to lose before the wedding, which would mean a 5 stone loss since the start of August last year.
I was aiming for the 5 stone so that's nice, but I'm a little disappointed it's taken me this long - but weight off is weight off!
Hoping for something respectable this week, I've been lifting weights like a machine and getting in plenty of cardio work as well as increasing my protein intake and limiting my carbs. I could take or leave the cardio since it's weight lifting that burns the most fat (important lesson for anyone trying to lose!), but it should result in a loss at least. We shall see. Fingers crossed.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Your very kind! Its a business function at a posh london 5 star hotel-at least if its good quality they might not mind if I ask for variations on the meal-I hope.alternativly it might be a choice of 3 things-none suitable,oh well I could scrape the sauces off!Avoid wine and dessert too!0
