    Hello,

    Please can I join in.

I was using slimming world online and lost nearly 2 stone with only that last 7lbs to loose. Other half lost his job in Jan so I couldn't afford the £20 a month and stopped my online subscription thinking it would be easy to go it on my own for the last little bit! How wrong was I, since Jan I've put 5lbs back on!!!!

Other half is now working again but to re-subscribe online they want me to pay for the months I've missed. Really I'm just after a bit of support and encouragement from all you lovely people and to hit my target by July.

I do EE every day just because it's easy!!
    Today I'm having -
Breakfast - banana and fat free yoghurt
Lunch - Beans on toast (HEA), melon, 2 x satusumas
Dinner - Sweet chilli pork and rice from slimming world mag (1/2 sin)

I've got a box of mini milks in the freezer so I may have one or two of these as snacks.

That sounds a bit of a rip-off bectoria, I can see how that would be a problem when money's been tight. I think you've done well to only put on 5lbs in all that time.:T Stick around, there's plenty of support on here and all free!;)

Hello can I join you please.

A few years ago I did sw when it was just RED and GREEN days and I went from 12st 13lb to 9st 6lb a fantastic loss of 3st 7lb however our consultant left to have a baby and a replacement couldn’t be found. I did join another group but really didn’t like it so gave up after a few weeks.
So as you guessed the weight crept back and I got to 13st 9lb. To cut a long story short - due to our daughter being terminally ill I got down to 10st 8lb without trying but once again the weight has crept on. Today was at doctors with DH and asked if we could both be weighed.:eek:

So today is D Day I REFUSE to be any heavier. Back to RED and GREEN days as I don’t fully understand the other options - yet. DH is also giving this a go as he is grossly overweight. We both have serious heart related problems which mean that neither of us can do much in the way of exercise but we will try to be a little more active. My health problem is congenital meaning I was born with problems and DH is mainly weight related. (he was at one point over 28st) He is diabetic (tablet controlled) has angina and has had a heart attack. I also have an under active thyroid but I know for CERTAIN that even with this you can lose weight regardless of what many people say. We both take numerous medications and I have to take diuretics.
I will read this forum daily to give me some incentive and will post often. Please feel free to offer any advice, tips or tell me what I am doing wrong.
Have kept lots of sw magazines so will start to read them again for inspiration. Don’t fully understand the EE days yet but will read your posts and try to fathom it out in time. For now it will be RED and GREEN.
Look forwards to getting to know you all and to shifting some weight for good this time.

Aha...someone beat me to it ;)

Does anyone know how many syns ww wholemeal pittas are, as they're slightly smaller than normal pitta breads.

If you get Asda own make WM pitta or CO Op WM pitta....these can be used as a HEB ;)

Now then... I know bank holiday weekend no.2 is over, but I'm setting up my own balcony on Dizzy's Tank. A penthouse suite, if you will, with luxury leather furniture and a cocktail bar with gloriously syn free alcholic beverages.

Oh, and I've got Sainsbury's 1 syn larger in. Anyone want to join me up here and get a bit of a tan?
smiley-transport013.gif I'm all up for a bit of luxury travel :j If you save me a 1 syn lager ;) (I still can't get any in the Mr S stores near here  Mr Dizzy has trailed me to 2 towns now :o) ....the SW'ers buy it all up as soon as it hits the shelves :rotfl:

Well done MrsM on getting YET SMALLER CLOTHES!!!! flipping eck woman you'll be disappearing down a crack in the pavement soon :rotfl::T x x

Good luck with your weightloss and wedding plans BanburyBride. I'm no expert but I had three thoughts when I read your post:
    • for another day, why don't you make SW bolognese then it could be totally syn free? You could then use your syns for a treat of some sort.
    • Are you allowed a pitta bread and an oaty bar to make up your HEB? I'm not sure so I thought I'd flag it up as one may need to be synned.
    • as you're hoping to lose a stone in less than 4 weeks, maybe you should try Success Express? Others can probably describe it better than I can but I believe it's having two thirds superfrees rather than just the one third. There are probably other variables too but that's what sticks in my mind.
    Hi Maman,

Whoops you are right - got carried away with myself there! The good news is I havent eaten the oaty bar yet, but also I think reviewing my menu the day has ended up red not EE!!:T

Regarding the bolognaise - you are right, but having slipped from slimming world recently I had some leftover made with just lean mince and ragu so I synned it!

    Thanks for your help:D

Hi All, I stay away for work quite alot and this is when I often fall off the wagon (then let it drive away before I get back on!) I usually stay in the same place, this is the menu - can you suggest the best things to eat? I tend to just have fruit and yoghurt then fruit throughout the day with a cereal bar so pretty much free to chose red, green or extra easy by the eve

    Hi everyone,

After taking certain medication (which is unfortunately also used to treat anorexia=constantly hungry!) and quitting smoking I have put on 3 stone. I am still within "normal" BMI of 19.2 but can grab rolls of fat from my tummy area very easily, and am of a naturally very slim build, so although my BMI is normal, my proportions are not any more!

Last week I decided to stop my medication so I can start shedding a few of the extra pounds.

Is slimming world suitable for me? It sounds a lot simpler now that the orange days have been introduced! Will I be welcome at a group although my BMI is technically "normal"?

    Thanks :)

    Evening all
I think today is green, but I've still got time to decide!
    I've had:
    breakfast rice with a banana
    sw quiche and salad
    pineapple, strawberries and an apple
a dreadfully naughty but flipping lovely Fudge's chocolate dipped flapjack, which I'm guessing was about 20 syns. But I didn't have any on Sunday or Monday, and haven't had any other syns today so I'm not concerned about it.
Jacket spud, cottage cheese and salad for dinner, then some pagen krisprolls with babybel light for a snack later.
Which makes it EE rather than green, doesn't it?
Oh, and 3 cups of tea with milk = another 1.5 syns, but again, that's fine!!
Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.
